• GCEC Service Limitations
Without choice of providers, the citizens of Anna are being taken for a ride when it comes to electric service. A large majority of residents of Anna who have GCEC as the electricity provider have seen huge increases in bills in the last few months that cannot be attributed to colder temperatures. I, for example, have seen my bill jump more than $400 over a 2 month period. Without choice, this will only continue. Make your voice heard!

  • Tell Governor Wolf: Stop the Mariner East 2 Pipeline!
Governor Wolf just allowed construction on the Mariner East 2 pipeline to resume. The Mariner East 2 is an extremely dangerous project, one that puts communities across the commonwealth at risk. It would transport highly volatile liquids -- leaks or explosions would be catastrophic for communities -- and yet a health and safety assessment has never been conducted by the state. While most new pipelines in Pennsylvania transport natural gas, the Mariner East 2 would transport highly combustible ethane, butane, and propane. Because the Mariner East 2 would move these products under high pressurization, any leak could be disastrous. This pipeline should never have been allowed in the first place. Tell Governor Wolf that construction must be halted immediately.

  • I Want a Fracking Ban in Florida
In states across the country, fracking for oil and gas has led to drinking water contamination, toxic air pollution, and serious health impacts. If Florida were to allow this new, more invasive drilling in our state, we'd be putting our groundwater and our public health at risk. That's why 90 communities, including 30 counties, have passed local measures against fracking. But to truly protect our beautiful state, we need a statewide ban. It's time the Legislature listened to the people of Florida and got the job done. A bill that would ban fracking in the Sunshine State has strong support in the Senate, but we need House members to act now too! Floridians deserve better than fracking. Demand that your legislators pass the fracking ban bill (HB 237/SB 462) in 2018.

  • Don't Risk Another Financial Crisis
    S. 2155, which is moving quickly in the Senate, takes aim at Dodd-Frank protections for consumers, and guts regulators' ability to monitor big banks in order to prevent another financial meltdown. S. 2155 also puts consumers at greater risk of predatory lending and weakens other important safeguards passed since the last crisis. It would cut risk management requirements for 25 of the biggest banks in the country -- banks that took tens of billions in bailout funds during the 2008 financial meltdown, including banks like Suntrust and BB&T. The banking industry is showing record levels of revenues and profits. Congress should be focused on addressing real problems that ordinary Americans have with medical debt, student debt, and data security, not boosting bank profits further.

  • No way! No Tolls!
Every working American and student is impacted by the financial slow bleed of a new array of toll roads. Privatizing toll roads we do not want or need will siphon off the tax benefit in private pockets. Let's all ask Congress to pass a budget that does not include such underhanded and ineffective methods.

  • Horse welfare- Stop the Government agencies-officials from making it impossible for herbalists w...
This is to all horse lovers and caretakers in the world. Wouldn't you like to see Natural Remedies be allowed to continue instead of being called or labeled as drugs by the FDA, Government agencies trying to make it impossible both legally and financially for small herbalists, who can make a huge difference in saving horses lives, to operate? Their legislation and regulations around experienced and qualified herbalists, who are actually making a difference to the welfare of animals, is becoming harassing, manipulative and impossible for herbalists to work. We are trying desperately with all the best of intentions, we are not here to take advantage of people with sick horses and animals, we are doing our utmost best to help and heal these beautiful animals when some Veterinarians fail in so many cases, and euthanasia is their answer. This is not always necessary and Government officials in Veterinary departments could make it possible and give the horse owners another option by using natural medicine instead of trying to condemn herbalists. We are not part of Big Pharma and we are genuine people working from our hearts to help these animals who are suffering. They never asked to be born; we are responsible for producing them and yet we are not allowed to honor and respect them in the manner in which they are entitled. They are God's creatures and herbivores and yet they have to live and work for humans in environmental conditions far from suitable for their dietary needs and requirements. Please stop these agencies from making it impossible for herbalists to work, to help, to love and honor horses...

  • Petition to save PsychedSubstance on YouTube
YouTube channels promoting harm reduction in regard to substances are being targeted in some sort of attack. These channels are not here to encourage drug use at all. They are "here to provide accurate education and awareness for the safe use of some very "taboo" practices. These are practices that have no place being taboo any longer. The safety of everyone is more important than keeping this ridiculous stigma around." First, these channels became demonetized or got hit with receiving less add revenue (meaning the channel creators earn nearly zero dollars off their uploaded videos, even with 1,000,000+ plus views). However, the creators of these channels value human life and have enough empathy to continue and persevere. Now, however, YouTube is being even stricter towards "controversial" content and has begun deleting, age restricting, and striking these channels. This means these channels are in true danger of being removed, which is a 100% negative thing in all aspects. PsychedSubstance and other creators truly care for the safety of the world and want to educate everyone on the topic of substances, regardless of if they plan on ever using a substance or not. It is made to save people from pain, mental/emotional trauma, and even death. This alone should be enough reason to leave these channels be, and let them continue their mission. Keep in mind the YouTube guidelines are being closely followed and respected by PsychedSubstance; he is not breaking any rules. YouTube, I understand as a company you have the right to remove channels/video's as you please, but as a community, we ask you to please save these channels and allow them to continue, as they have for a while now. • Mistake by the Lake
The Capitol Center Building blocks the majestic public views of Budd Inlet from the State Capitol complex and the southern portion of the Olympia Isthmus. It violates the State of Washington Shoreline Management Act. Additionally, it vitiates the citizens' 2008 petition to establish the Olympia Isthmus Park. A Hearing Examiner for the City of Olympia recently approved a Land Use Approval for an expanded use of the abandoned building. Nonetheless, he concluded the Capitol Center Building ". . . is unattractive and its location is truly unfortunate. In a perfect world, it never would have been constructed, and it could not be constructed today." It is time to purchase what is commonly referred to as the "Mistake by the Lake."
