President Trump has given Congress six months to pass legislation protecting Dreamers. These people have proven to be productive members of American society, with many serving in our military and assisting in Hurricane Harvey relief, in addition to the revenue raised through taxes and fees. They should not be forced out of the only country they've known for almost their entire lives.

Rep. Will Hurd (R-TX23) is a key vote on the Dream Act, as his district includes a border town in Texas with thousands of Dreamers. But, despite the looming deadline for DACA-recipients, he has yet to co-sponsor and support it publicly! As local Texas Dreamers, immigrant youth, and allies ramp up visits to his offices, make phone calls, and turn up the heat, we need to show him that we have their back and want a clean Dream Act -- and his co-sponsorship, now. Not only is the Dream Act the morally right thing to do, new studies by the Center for American Progress show that it could boost the US economy by up to *$1 trillion* in just 10 years. $1 trillion. The Dream Act has been bipartisan for over a decade, but the ugly politics of extremism are now standing in the way. When Trump rescinded DACA, 800,000 young people were left in the cross-hairs of a brutal deportation system that could rip them away from their friends, families, schools, communities, and employers, all of whom are counting on them. The backlash has been loud, but now it is up to make sure that outrage turns into real action for immigrant youth and all Americans, who stand to benefit from this critical bill. California has more Dreamers than any other state so this is very important to people in our community. Legalizing DACA participants is the right thing to do for these kids who have complied by being vetted, paying their fees, staying out of trouble, holding down responsible jobs and furthering their educational goals. We're asking Attorney General Sessions to instruct the Utah US Attorney and FBI offices to stop the harassment of animal rescuers, call off the hunt for Lily, and prosecute animal abusing corporations!

Even though I am a white Anglo whose American ancestry dates back centuries, I very strongly support the DACA immigrants, no matter how they got here. I have been personally helped by a kow-wage Chicana caregiver who has made a huge contribution to this country. She and her brethren deserve to be recognised for the life-saving work they have done for me and other American citizens.

Texas has more Dreamers than any other state other than California so this is very important to people in our community. Dreamers were brought here no fault of their own. They know no other country but the United States. I support a path to citizenship for all DACA individuals and so should Representative Will Hurd. Working for yrs. with those of color, whether Black or Latinos,Muslims, etc has proved to me that we are all the same; that many of our policies are race-driven; fear of the other.We must get to know each other individually & personally. This Pres. keeps painting negative stereotypes about Latinos & African Americans.Insecurity & an overarching need to be better than others.....!*

Congress needs to demonstrate real leadership and protect our families from being torn apart. Our president’s decision to end DACA is unconscionable. No one is served by policies that tear families apart.

I'm starting this petition because Fireworks are dangerous. The cons WAY OUTWEIGH the pros and since the public cannot handle fireworks responsibly, we don't deserve to have them in our community.
