• President Trump Must Resign Immediately
Since he started his election campaign with his speech about "Mexican rapists", Trump has exacerbated ethnic tensions in the United States, further polarizing Americans instead of bringing us together as a true leader should. It is clear that the only way he will stop this divisive behavior is by resigning as President.

  • Arrest Jason Kessler
What happened yesterday in Charlottesville VA was an act of terrorism, from the most dangerous group at work in the US today: the Alt-right. These terrorists must be held accountable.

  • Add Hate Groups to Terrorist Watch List
Terrorism is defined as the use of violence or intimidation in pursuit of political aims. The events of August 12 in Charlottesville, VA, which left 3 people dead and dozens injured, were the result of terrorism and not "freedom of speech." Hundreds of armed white supremacists with assault rifles marching in a small American town is intimidation. The intentional killing of a pedestrian with a vehicle is murder. The chant of "blood and soil" is a call to genocide. None of the acts of August 12 constitute protected speech, but instead, terrorism. As an American citizen, a resident of Charlottesville, and VA5 constituent, I demand that Rep. Garrett introduce legislation in Congress placing all hate groups tracked by the SPLC in the FBI's terrorist watch list, and that Federal resources be devoted to monitor, prevent, and counter any and all terrorist activities arising from those groups. And I invite all my fellow Americans to demand their senators and representatives join in support of this legislation.

  • Take 'em ALL down: Remove every Confederate symbol in America
Last night white nationalists marched through Charlottesville communities and the University of Virginia campus, rallying around a statue of the Confederacy and carrying torches evoking a history of violent racial terrorism. The next day in Charlottesville they killed in the name of their white supremacist symbols. Peaceful protesters were rammed by a car killing someone. Emboldened by Trump and compelled to act by the movement to remove these symbols of hate white supremacists are now acting to intimidate us from removing these symbols of white supremacy. Since Dylann Roof massacred churchgoers at Mother Emanuel AME, we have been organizing around the nation to remove symbols of the Confederacy from any place of honor in America. In response, white supremacists are rallying around Confederate statues and using them as a pretext to commit terrorism and murder. White supremacists terrorists are working to intimidate us from confronting and reckoning with the legacy of the Confederacy. We cannot allow these white supremacist terrorists to intimidate us from confronting and working to dismantle systemic white supremacy. Confederate statues are a symbol of white supremacy and its current political power. Terrorists in Charlottesville understood this and were willing to kill in the name of their symbol, we must be determined to persist in the face of this white supremacist terror. We must work to end the influence of today's White supremacists, removing all Confederate statues would be the first step in sending the message that we are no longer honoring white supremacy at a societal level. We've already seen progress in Tampa and New Orleans, where Confederate symbols are being removed by Black-led organizing in the face of sustained white supremacist opposition. Join with me today and pledge to work to remove all Confederate statues in America.

  • We, the people of the United States, denounce white supremacy
A state of emergency was declared this weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia, after hundreds of white supremacists, neo-nazis, and members of the "alt-right" terrorized the city with toxic hate, fear, and violence. With Donald Trump refusing to condemn the white supremacist hate and violence on open display this weekend, we need to show each other, as people in the United States, that together we are ready to stand against and denounce white supremacy and the ideas that fueled the violence in Charlottesville this weekend. Sign and share this expression of unity and openly ask your neighbors, friends and family, to stand united against white supremacy today.

  • Every elected official in the United States: Denounce white supremacy
This weekend, white supremacists descended on Charlottesville, Virginia, to rally against the removal of a Confederate monument. In the process, they attacked counter-protestors, leaving at least one person dead. I grew up in Virginia and spent four years of my life attending the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. I am heartbroken seeing the community I loved ripped apart by their vile attacks. And I am appalled that in the face of this toxic hate, fear, and violence, our president can offer only half-hearted calls for unity. We cannot tolerate such attacks, and we must call out the newly emboldened hate group members. Since Donald Trump appears incapable of doing this, I call on every elected official to lead in explicitly condemning the white supremacists in Charlottesville and their vile, hate-filled ideology.

  • Remove White Supremacists from the White House
Moral leadership starts at the top. For the people of this nation to have faith in the strength of their congressional leaders, members of Congress must call for the removal of anyone associated with racist, alt-right groups from the White House.

  • Limitations on the Presidential Pardon
By passing this law, it would help the special prosecutor flip persons of interest. It would prevent guilty people who are related to the president from the consequences and penalties based on their crimes. And would stop future abuses of power.

  • Delete @realDonaldTrump
Trump just provoked nuclear war against North Korea on Twitter—again—which would kill millions of people. And that's not his only potential violation of the social media platform's terms of service.  A significant number of Trump's tweets have also included language of hate, racial discrimination, fear mongering, and outright lies. Tell Twitter to Delete @realDonaldTrump for misuse.

  • @FBI: Investigate Middle East Institute's Funding From the United Arab Emirates
A key driver of Saudi Arabia's famine-inducing war in Yemen has been the government of the United Arab Emirates. A key advocate on Capitol Hill for the Saudi-UAE war in Yemen has been Gerald Feierstein of the Middle East Institute, which receives money from Saudi Arabia and the UAE as well as major U.S. arms manufacturers. In March, Feierstein advocated to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on behalf of the Saudi arms deal. [1] Feierstein also advocated in favor of a Saudi-UAE plan to attack the Yemeni port of Hodeida, which the UN, aid groups, and former U.S. officials warned would almost certainly push Yemen into famine. [2] The Intercept has now reported based on a leaked document that the Middle East Institute was to receive $20 million from the UAE over 2016-2017, which the UAE hoped to conceal, with the first payment coming in 2016. According to the agreement, the contribution would allow the MEI to "inform U.S. government policy makers." [3] On June 13, 2017, Feierstein testified before the House Foreign Affairs Committee about the U.S.-Saudi relationship. [4] In his required disclosure form, Feierstein claimed that his organization had not received any payment or contract from any foreign government related to the matter of the hearing since 2013. [5] According to the Intercept story, that statement was false. Making false statements to Congress is a violation of federal law. [6] Ask your representatives in Congress to press the FBI to investigate the Middle East Institute's funding from the United Arab Emirates, whether MEI is violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act, and whether Gerald Feierstein lied to Congress about MEI's funding from the UAE by signing our petition. • We demand an end to the war on drugs and end to for-profit prisons!
We all have seen video after video, and heard story after story that have horrified us. Whether the numbers are increasing is irrelevant. The numbers, as they are, are far too high. This is unacceptable and cannot stand! For-profit prisons are exploitation at its worst. It is unbelievable that our government has allowed this to go on, and for so long.

  • Fire Sebastian Gorka
Sebastian Gorka is an avowed racist. Each time he is on tv he insults and demeans whomever he is preaching to. We do NOT need this type of person in the Whitehouse. Our president needs calm, cool, stress free people to help him. He needs to be removed from The Whitehouse.
