• End the Law That Bans Atheists From Holding Public Office in Maryland
Article 37 of the Maryland State Constitution requires that you have believe in God in order to be allowed to hold public office. This law is discriminatory and infringes on an individuals right of whether they choose to believe in a God or not. Thus, the law should be removed from the Constitution.

  • OPPOSE (VOTE NO) HB125
HB125 went from simplifying the paperwork created by HB87 in 2011, to a whole new bill. The current version of HB125 (LC 29 5571S) challenges international passports as valid IDs, blocks DACA recipients from obtaining Driver Licenses, takes Homestead Exemptions away from homeowners, and puts an unnecessary burden in contractors, subcontractors, subsubcontractors and business of Georgia by increasing the mandatory application of E-Verify and IMAGE programs. We urge the Georgia Senate and the Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle TO OPPOSE (VOTE NO when applicable) HB125.

  • Stop Age Discrimination in Texas!
Although the law states that employers should not discriminate based on gender, age or race, I have found discrimination to be rampant in Texas. I have been personally affected by this since I am of a different cultural background and am an older candidate. I am forced to work because I am only promised a very meager pay out from Social Security after two years and don't have retirement savings. It is hidden discrimination and I don't know what the solution is.

  • Stop the misuse of public records for profit
Many innocent people find themselves being arrested but never actually being charged for committing any crime whatsoever. However there are companies that run press releases and not only defame peiople but profit off of the community. Companies using public records for profit must be stopped with some sort of law and with this petition I know enough people to make it happen.

  • Restore voting rights to former felons.
After convicted felons have completed their sentence and been released, their return to society should be acknowledged by the immediate restoration of voting rights. Over 1 million felons were denied the right to vote in Florida in the last election. This is not the way to encourage positive and active participation in society.

  • Give us back our "Right to Referendum"!
I awoke one morning with the sun shining through the window as I listened to the early morning dj give the morning news and I heard words that were tantamount to a declaration of war against the residents of the State of New York. "During the night while Registered Voters and Tax Payers slept, Albany took away the Peoples Right to Referendum."

  • Demand the state of Massachusetts investigate and stop the abuse of segregation (Special Manageme...
For years, inmates have been emotionally abused and tortured by being put in segregation for months and years, which is against the DOC's own regulations of a maximum of 30 days. Administrative Segregation, being made to stay in ones cell for 23 hours a day for months, is also counterproductive to rehabilitation, inhumane, and illegal. It is used, among other times, for the first 6 months of arriving in any facility. The sensory deprivation and degradation worsens the mental and physical condition of the individual who is supposed to be receiving services to return to society a healthier person.

  • America: Guarantee the Right to Vote for All
The U.S. Federal Constitution does not guarantee the right to vote for all American citizens. We need a guarantee at the federal level that all citizens can and may, if they so choose, exercise their right to vote and that right may not be abridged.

  • Let the People Vote!
The citizens of Alabama have the right to either vote up or down on the topic of lottery and gambling; thanks in part to the over imagination of the Alabama Supreme Court and the Attorney General, Luther Strange, the people of Alabama are being subjected over and over again to the political tug of war over something that can be settled once and for all by the people.
