TAX THE GUN INDUSTRY for the costs that they incur. We have heard it all before. Unfortunately, the status quo approach to gun control will fail. There is only one solution that will also maintain our justifiable right to bear arms and at the same time diffuse NRA incentives to undermine any and all efforts at gun control. And this solution will only require the support of a few correct thinking members of the U.S. House of Representatives:3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Francis Garcia

Stop the news media from facilitating and profiting from mass shootings in our country. We need solutions to stop these ever-increasing mass shootings. The news media provides glorification to these cowardly murderers, and it profits on the death of our fellow citizens and children. It must stop, NOW!99 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jeremiah Purcell

RENTI would like Congress and every State to have a maximum amount of rent they can charge for rent . Every time minumum wage goes up or every year I lived in an apartment my rent has gone up five or ten dollars and it has also been raised to compare to minumum wage going up . ! This is GREED . ! I want to demand this to stop . ! To many people are on Section 8 waiting lists because they can not afford to pay rent . ! This is ridiculous and we need to come together as a people and STOP THIS . ! This is happening all over the country . !6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tasha Paulino

KTBS, Channel 3, rehire meteorologist Rhonda LeeRhonda Lee, an African American meteorologist, who responded on social media to comments regarding her short natural was fired. She should be rehired as she states that she was not aware of an unofficial policy, as stated by the television station, that a response to a viewer could not be made. Her response was to inform him that she was not a cancer patient, but rather a healthy lady who sought to express her African heritage through her hairstyle, beauty, intelligence and poise.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mary Odom

Make heroes and victims the celebrities- not the criminals.Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. We are all too aware of the name Adam Lanza. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are household names, but do you know the name of a single victim of Columbine? The quest for fame is often at least some of the impetus for committing atrocities. If the mass media stops publicizing the criminals and instead makes the names of the heroes and victims known, that will give at least one sick person pause. Let's call upon the media to make it their responsibility to make it less glamorous to be a monster and more glamourous to be a hero. TV networks and newspapers and all other media outlets- please take it upon yourselves to take away power from monsters. If need be, let's legislate this social contract. Stop glorifying monsters now. Stop showering our screens and print media with the names and faces of the monsters and instead those of the heroes and victims.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Gillian Bar

Eliminate Corp. WelfareIncreasing gas prices at the pump and the subsequent indirect cost increases passed on to the public is draining the poor and the middle class. My husband fills his tank twice a week to commute to work. The cost use to be $22.00 per fill up, now it is $60.00 per fill up. That is an extra $76.00 per week from our budget from the pump alone! In the first quarter of 2012 the Senate extended the billions in subsidies to the oil industry. That first quarter Exxon posted a 104 million per day profit followed by a second quarter profit of 15.9 billion! Our money can't stimulate the economy when it is going into the pockets of the oil company only.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Samantha Tighiouart

Special Interest Ban from law makersWe all have been adversely affected by special interest. The lobbiests have a fists full of dollars and our representitves ears. Our representitives are elected by us and in more cases than not have emotional rhetorical responses written by these lobbiests to explain to the constituents why special interest's concerns are more pressing than the actual issues confronting this country, states and local governments. It is causing more stalemate in congress than legislation. The actual job these committee placement, campaign fund seeking representitives and senators should be carring about. If special interest want their interest considered in new legislation, then let them convince the constitiuents in the district these representitives represent. If the district wants wants to go forward with it then let the People do the persuading to the legislators. No more back room good ole boy politics where special interest money does the talking.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by William H Schwartz
