Hane's Farm Sand MineThe proposed mine will be located in the heart of Brices Creek. This residential area consists of numerous subdivisions that are home to thousands of people. The environmental and economic impact will be felt by every resident and every homeowner. The quality of life that we have all enjoyed for so many years will be diminished and replaced with heavy equipment, noise pollution, construction traffic, and unknown environmental issues yet to be determined.489 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Rocky Grubb

No Pebble Mine in Bristol BayAs a very proud Bristol Bay Fisherman, I get to work up close with the beautiful commercial and sport fishing community in Alaska. Every year thousands of people depend on the healthy salmon run. Some depend on this run to feed and support their families. Others depend on it because it is the lifeblood of a culture that has been around for hundreds of years. A proposal for a mine is causing a catastrophic threat to the salmon, community, culture and our world. This petition is an effort to stop the Pebble Mine and educate the country on the importance of keeping Bristol Bay healthy.16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Alexis

Save the Endangered Species Act! Oppose the Trump Extinction PlanDonald Trump's Departments of Interior and Commerce have published drastic changes to the way they carry out the Endangered Species Act. Under these revisions, protecting endangered and threatened species and the wild places they rely upon will be much more difficult. The Endangered Species Act is phenomenally successful. It has a 99 percent success rate at preventing the extinction of species in its care. But it only works if politicians stay out of the way. Please add your name to tell the Senate to pass legislation instructing the Trump Administration to carry out the Endangered Species Act as written.13,894 of 15,000 SignaturesCreated by Mitch Merry, Endangered Species Coalition

Trump: stop killing animals with cyanide bombs!According to Newsweek, the EPA "has reauthorized the use of controversial devices known as M-44s, or 'cyanide bombs,' which are designed to kill certain animals for predator control purposes." Save Graniteville Wetlands ForestComment on Application # 2-6401-00287/00002 seeking an Article 24 Freshwater Wetlands Permit: We are living in a Post-Sandy world and need to retain all the resiliency we can, especially natural. These trees absorb water from flash flooding storms we are constantly having due to climate change. They also absorb air pollution from Newark Airport and chemical factories in nearby Linden, NJ. My neighbors and I in Graniteville, Staten Island were spared the devastation - loss of life and property - that the East and South Shores communities of Staten Island suffered because of this wetland forest. The East and South Shore communities will be protected by a $400 million-plus seawall to be built and have incorporated their wetlands into the Bluebelt to ensure they won't be ravaged again. By destroying the Graniteville Wetlands Forest for a Big Box Store, we are destroying the only protection we have.338 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Janet McKee

Protect Our Trails from PenelecThe James Mayer trails, where my family walks, runs and bikes, was recently targeted by herbicide spraying by Penelec. One side of the trail is now dead, including the milkweed necessary for our declining monarch butterfly population, the raspberry bushes my kids would grab berries from, and many more. If Penelec spent more time and care, they could manage their power lines in a way that preserved the environment for wildlife and our families.122 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Christine Dahlin

No more butts on the beachI am a Tybee Island resident. I grew up in Savannah back when Tybee was Savannah Beach. I was lucky enough to become a full-time Tybee resident around ten years ago. Growing up, we always heard the little slogans like "Keep your butts off the beach". Clearly, those slogans haven't worked. It is appalling at the cigarette butts that are left all over the beach, in the ocean, the sidewalks, everywhere. I think my breaking point was watching a family stand in the water smoking and then when they were finished they THREW THEM IN THE WATER!!! Unfortunately, that wasn't the first time I saw someone do this it just happened to be the first time I saw a group of people do it at once! Enough is enough this is no longer acceptable. It's 2019; we know better!848 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Sonya Fettke
