Everyday in North Korea, men, women, and children alike are abused, imprisoned, tortured, and starved. It is our duty as human beings to be concerned about these individuals, and to prompt our government to take action and stop the inhumane practices in North Korea.

It is irresponsible to put at least a quarter of the US population at risk of long-lasting oil spill disasters simply to ship Canadian tar sands oil to US Gulf states mostly for export overseas. Canada should refine that oil IN CANADA and distribute the resulting (far less dangerous) products in essentially that same manner as such products are presently being distributed. This would not only be safer, it would also be a huge boon for Canadian businesses, and it will increase employment for Canadian workers.
