  • US And NATO forces should immediately establish a no-fly zone over Syria.
The Syrian government is engaging in deliberate air attacks on civilian targets, including hospitals, and groups of civilians waiting in bread lines. These acts, being deliberate, are war crimes. We must stop Assad as we stopped Ghadafi.

  • Tell Canada to refine its own stinking oil!
It is irresponsible to put at least a quarter of the US population at risk of long-lasting oil spill disasters simply to ship Canadian tar sands oil to US Gulf states mostly for export overseas. Canada should refine that oil IN CANADA and distribute the resulting (far less dangerous) products in essentially that same manner as such products are presently being distributed. This would not only be safer, it would also be a huge boon for Canadian businesses, and it will increase employment for Canadian workers.

  • Kerry: No Aid to Honduran Death Squads
The State Department has assured Congress that millions of U.S. tax dollars given to the Honduran National Police only go to units that don't operate under the direct supervision of Director General Juan Carlos Bonilla, who has been accused of responsibility for extrajudicial killings for which he has never been investigated. But the Associated Press has documented that all Honduran National Police units are under Bonilla's control. Aid to police units under Bonilla's control violate U.S. law. Urge Secretary of State Kerry, President Obama and Congress to end all aid to the Honduran National Police, in compliance with U.S. law.
