• Impeach Brett Kavanaugh
Brett Kavanaugh is being considered as a replacement for a swing justice on the Supreme Court, giving him the potential to change the direction of the court for a generation. He has dodged questions about his extreme views and his willingness to overturn precedent, but more fundamentally we now know, from the small proportion of written documents that have been released, that he has perjured himself, which is a crime, to cover up other crimes. He is not fit to serve, and if seated will bring the court and the rule of law into disrepute.

  • REFORM CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES
The Department of Children and Families should be restructured. Families are grieving due to no fault of their own and are left helpless. Judges should not be allowed to accept allegations from CPS unless it is backed by documented proof. I lost my case with CPS based on their ability to present false allegations based on lies. Now CPS has barred me and my husband from all family contact with the children and the Case is being closed out for adoption. I am asking for reform and to use my story as an example of how this government agency operates.

  • Tell Kobach to reject white nationalist money!
Kris Kobach is the Secretary of State of Kansas and this year’s Republican candidate to be Governor. He’s also one of the worst anti-immigrant politicians in the whole country: he led the Trump Administration’s efforts to crack down on the myth of immigrant voters, has worked with hate groups, and is responsible for laws that have tried to kick immigrants out of the United States. Kobach has also taken money from Ian Smith, a white nationalist and neo-Nazi sympathizer who was recently fired from his job at the Department of Homeland Security for his extremist beliefs. Smith has spent thousands of dollars in funding to Kobach’s campaign. For Kobach to accept this money is improper, and it’s offensive considering that he may be the next governor of Kansas. An elected official needs to serve everyone in the community — not divide neighbors and side with a politics of hate. Please tell Kris Kobach that he needs to return contributions from white nationalists like Ian Smith immediately.

  • Demand psychiatric evaluation of Trump
Our country is being run by someone who only ran for president because he wanted better ratings. We need a leader who will make the county and the world a better place to live. Currently we have a leader that is narcissistic and full of ego. We need a real leader. Due to the recent actions we feel that the citizens of the United States can request a full psychiatric evaluation of the person who is the leader of our nation and who has his hands on some of the most powerful weapons in the world. Please sign and help us get a real evaluation of the presidents mental capacity to lead the United States. Thank you

  • Remove the Rockland County District 13 Legislator Aron Wieder from office
Aron Wieder is in clear violation of the legislature’s own Social Media Guide, which states, in the section on “Social Media 'Best Practices’ for Elected Officials,” that officials should strive, when posting on social media, to be “honest, straightforward, and respectful”. Aron Wieder has done nothing but the opposite, choosing to harass, make false accusations, and publicly humiliate others for any beliefs or opinions that should differ from his own, via Social Media. He is not fit to to be legislator and should be removed immediately. It is up to the people of Rockland regardless if they are within his district to stand up use your voice it matters. He might be the legislator for District 13 however all of Rockland is feeling his wrath. It is time to act we can either sit back and allow this man to continue to lead the charge, or we can start by signing this petition, sharing it, and understanding this can no longer go on. We need to remind ourselves and this government that "We the people" are in charge and without us they would not be in their ELECTED position(s).

  • No Lifetime Supreme Court Appointments Until We Know The Facts
No matter who occupies the White House, senators -- and the public -- should be fully informed with all that’s at stake before consenting to a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court. President Trump is a subject of investigation by the Department of Justice related to alleged corruption of our elections. Matters arising from the investigation could be headed the Supreme Court. But despite this, Senate leadership wants to rush through Trump’s pick for a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court, seating a judge who may eventually rule on the multiple investigations involving him. And all without having access to Judge Kavanaugh’s complete record. Waiting until there is more public information about the DOJ's investigations and Kavanaugh's record will allow senators to evaluate more fully the basis of the president’s decision to choose a specific nominee for a lifetime seat on the high court. This is about trust in the rule of law -- the Senate must not rush through this nomination process.
