• Mandatory Routine Drug Testing For All of Ware County Sheriff Deputies & Waycross Police Officers...
THIS PETITION IS FOR WARE COUNTY / CITY OF WAYCROSS RESIDENCE ONLY! PLEASE DO NOT SIGNED IF YOU LIVE IN ANOTHER COUNTY OR STATE! LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS SHOULD BE HELD AT A HIGHER STANDARD THEN REGULAR CITIZENS, WE THE PEOPLE AGREE THAT BECAUSE OF THE DEADLY FORCE THAT THESE OFFICER MAY USE UPON THEIR BELIEFS THAT THEY ARE IN IMMEDIATE DANGER OF THEIR LIVES, THEN THEY CAN USE DEADLY FORCE! WE ALL KNOW THAT DRUGS CAN LEAD TO AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR AND MOOD SWINGS THAT COULD LEAD TO THE DEATH OF A PRIVATE CITIZEN AT THE HANDS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT FROM THE MISUSE OF DEADLY FORCE! FOR EXAMPLE THE SHOOTING OF JACK LAMAR ROBERSON, CLEARLY A MISUSE OF DEADLY FORCE, THAT TOOK THE LIKE OF A FATHER; SON; BROTHER AND A HONORABLY DISCHARGED VET THAT SERVES HIS COUNTRY; ALSO ANDREW POOL SHOOT BY MISTAKE BY AN OFFICER IMPROPERLY TRAINED; ALSO MONTRE MERRITT HELD AT GUN POINT AND FORCED ON THE GROUND FOR A SEAT BELT VIOLATION; THERE ARE SO MANY OTHERS; THIS IS WHY EVERYONE IN WARE COUNTY NEEDS TO SIGN THIS PETITION! Unlawful drug use is incompatible with public office and calls into question the official’s judgment and integrity, it jeopardizes the discharge of public functions including anti-drug law enforcement, and it undermines public confidence and trust in public officials; ~SUMMARY~ The current law of public employee drug testing began with the Supreme Court’s decisions in Skinner v. Railway Labor Executives’ Assn., 489 U.S. 602 (1989), and National Treasury Employees v. Von Raab, 489 U.S. 656 (1989). In these companion cases, the Court held that the government is allowed to conduct drug tests without individualized suspicion when there is a “special need” that outweighs the individual’s privacy interest. In Skinner, the court found that public safety was such a special need. In Von Raab, the court found a special need in relation to customs agents who carry firearms or are directly involved in drug interdiction. "HAIR FOLLICLE DRUG TESTING" The traditional 5 panel hair follicle primarily detects the opiates codeine, morphine, and heroin. The expanded screening will also detect oxycodone, hydrocodone, oxymorphone, and hydromorphone. The amphetamine portion of this screening is also expanded to detect the drugs MDA and MDMA, commonly known as Ecstasy or Molly. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH WARE COUNTY SHERIFF RANDY ROYAL ABOUT HIS DRUG TESTING POLICY; AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH MY REQUEST IN THIS PETITION HE IS MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS THAT I AM ASKING FOR IN THIS PETITION! BUT WE STILL NEED YOUR SIGNATURES; SO PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE~ REMEMBER ONLY WARE COUNTY AND THE CITY OF WAYCROSS RESIDENCE ONLY.. .. If the Ware County Sheriff's Department is making their deputies take random drug tests, then why can't the City of Waycross do the same?

  • We can't let Donald Trump's conspiracy theories undermine our democracy
Donald Trump’s attacks on the integrity of our elections just reached a new, unhinged level -- on Monday he claimed that “voter fraud is all too common” (despite a complete lack of evidence) and accused his opponents of attempting to ”rig the election at the polling booths." This is completely false and entirely reprehensible -- Mr. Trump has zero evidence to back up his claims, but by repeating them over and over, he’s attempting to convince Americans that their votes won't count, undermining trust in our democracy, and emboldening those seeking to intimidate eligible voters at the polls. We must call on every candidate for Congress and elected official (especially those responsible for administering our elections) to forcefully reject these irresponsible conspiracy theories, and instead endorse nonpartisan, common-sense proposals to ensure everyone’s vote will count. Many key Republicans, like Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted, House Speaker Paul Ryan, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, are already heeding our call and rejecting Trump’s conspiracy theories. Every elected official must join them in publicly repudiating Trump’s dangerous rhetoric. Those running our elections should support common sense safeguards like automatic voter registration (a proven success in Oregon and elsewhere) that strengthen the security of the voting system and make sure everyone’s vote counts. Those who promote Mr. Trump’s false claims and encourage voter intimidation want to suppress the vote and cause problems on Election Day. We’ll help stop this voter suppression with our nationwide Protect The Vote campaign -- already thousands of volunteers strong.

  • Privatize Social Security "STOP"
SOCIAL SECURITY is an insurance policy, not an ENTITLEMENT, as they would like you to believe. All people pay into SOCIAL SECURITY every week from their paychecks. Social Security is not a tax but a payment on your insurance (policy) even if it is called a tax. "Privatization means increased retirement risk, severe cuts in Social Security. benefits, and a multi-trillion-dollar increase in the federal debt. Privatization diverts money out of Social Security into individual accounts, leaving an even larger solvency problem" as President George W. Bush did on April 5, 2005, when he 'borrowed' $ 2.5 trillion in surplus revenues to pay his tax cuts for the rich and fight his Iraq wars and other projects - never paying it back. This needs to be paid back and stopped. Stop the general fund surplus that the government can loan to themselves for their own agenda. "Why are we not solvent?"

  • Protect Voters from Trump's "patrols"
The Republican Party claims to be committed to free elections and the democratic process despite its consistent efforts to disenfranchise voters through so called "Voter ID laws." Many of the Party's leaders have broken with Trump lately as if he were not a representation of the themes the Party has been advocating for decades (although he has discarded the frills and obfuscation). Trump's recent allegations that the election is rigged and his calls for group (mobs) to "watch your polling booths…(in)…certain areas" all contribute to what Matt Viser and Tracy Jan's October 15 Boston Globe story says is his increasing tendency "undermine faith in democratic institutions." This is a very scary scenario. If Republicans have any commitment beyond lip service to the electoral process, they need to publicly and widely denounce Trump's efforts to undermine it, and commit to protecting the rights of voters—of all colors, genders and incomes—at the polls.

  • Term Limits for Members of Congress
It is time to place limits on Congressional representatives to break the gridlock in Washington. The American people have little approval for the way Congress is working at this point and no governmental body should become a hindrance to conducting the business of the people they represent or become a representative to only those interests driven by a profit motive a balance must be struck and the best way to strike that balance is through a regular influx of new civic minded people who know they have a limited time frame in which to accomplish the good work of the people of this great Nation.

  • END ALL ELECTRONIC VOTING + REPLACE WITH UNRIGGABLE MECHANICAL VOTING MACHINES.
I started this petition because I haven't heard a single politician talk about it, and our vote should be sacred, people died for it. Despite news reports, and documentaries of rigged machines, talk of The Russians, Annonymous, both Major Parties, rigging the election via electronic voting machines, and the debacle in 2000 in Florida, NOTHING HAS CHANGED!

  • Tell these 6 politicians to denounce Trump's comments as sexual assault
Donald Trump’s comments to Billy Bush in 2005, picked up on a hot mic and heard around the world, are not just an embarrassment to our country. In his initial defense of his disgusting comments, he said he was engaging in “locker room banter.” But what Trump said isn’t just “lewd” or something real men talk about in locker rooms. What Trump described was sexual assault—grabbing women’s body without any hesitation of thought of women as people. Yet, there are 6 notable politicians still sticking by him and downplaying his dangerous and criminal attitude. They must acknowledge that their candidate promotes sexual assault and denounce their support immediately or risk losing all of their future political ambitions. * Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions claimed Sunday that if Trump actually “grabbed a women by the genitals" it wouldn't necessarily be sexual assault. * Governor Mike Pence, Trump’s running mate, said he wouldn’t “condone” the remarks but the notorious religious fanatic made no mention of the actual content or its promotion of violence against women. * Iowa Senator Joni Ernst merely downplayed the comments as “lewd and insulting.” * Kentucky Senator Rand Paul denounced the comments but has not responded to inquiries on how he will vote in November. * House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy called for an apology, but has not distanced himself from supporting Trump’s presidential bid. * Similarly, House Majority Whip Steve Scalise also called for Trump to apologize, but is still sticking by him. This dangerous and criminal attitude of Trump's--that he can do "anything" to women--puts women's safety at risk every day. And justice for victims of men like Trump, who feel entitled to women’s bodies, is rare. Women who come forward are often blamed, marginalized, or called liars. The Washington Post’s reporting on Trump’s conversation with Billy Bush is so important--every American needs to know who Donald Trump is before the voting on November 8. That’s why we’re urging politicians to call his comments for what they are--bragging about sexual assault. Trump isn’t just vile and lewd--he’s dangerous and boasting about crimes against women.
