I want our congress to get back to work on the real problems facing this nation and the world!

We are tired of gridlock in Congress and the fact that our elected officials' views often do not reflect the will of the people they represent. We have seen terrible voter suppression occur in the 2016 presidential primary and feel powerless against it. We need legislation to address these issues. The American people should receive a true democracy. That means the rights of the individual citizens to choose their president, not superpacs, superdelegates and anyone else who is not a citizen (such as a corporation, despite what Citizens United and the Supreme Court have ruled). ONE CITIZEN, ONE VOTE should be the rule, and this rule should elect our president. Independents should not be shut out of primary voting or any other part of the voting process. ONE CITIZEN, ONE VOTE!

The Utah Republican Convention is this weekend, and the GOP will be voting on a resolution by Lowell Nelson, former vice chairman of the state Republican Party, that “encourages public officials at all levels of government to nullify any federal order, act, opinion, or regulation” which they personally believe is unconstitutional. Nelson says he expects his resolution to easily win approval among the GOP convention delegates, but we’re calling on you to let him and the rest of the Republican party know that this is not the way our leaders should behave.

The U.S. is a nation of laws, where all should be equal under the law. We, the undersigned, are concerned that Hillary Clinton will be not be fully investigated or prosecuted by the FBI due to her wealth, position and political power. The decision to implement the laws of our nation re Mrs. Clinton's private email server is dependent on the courage of Dir. of the FBI, James Comey. We ask Dir. Comey to treat Mrs. Clinton as he would any other citizen of the US. Do not hold her above the law in this or any other matter. Thank you.
