• Hold CIA Leaders Accountable!
The CIA leadership continues to make headlines, but for all the wrong reasons. Warrantless surveillance of American citizens, clandestine torture operations overseas, and even hacking into U.S. Senate computers are just some of the recent examples. Enough is enough, and it’s time for action. The men and women of the CIA do important work, but its leadership should be kept in check and held accountable for its actions. We’re calling on CIA Director John Brennan to keep the CIA in check and stand up for the Constitutional principles that make our country great. Add your name and join the fight today!

  • Hillary Clinton: We respect you but please DON'T run in 2016
In a rapidly changing world, we need to open the doors to a new generation and new mentality of Democratic leadership. A return to Clintonian centrism is not what our country needs right now and by stepping aside and joining the progressive wave, Ms. Clinton could do far more good than as President.

  • President Obama: Issue an Executive Order to Fight Money in Politics
President Obama was right in his State of the Union address: The secret billionaire and big business "dark money" enabled by the U.S. Supreme Court’s disastrous Citizens United ruling is pulling "our politics into the gutter." And he can do something about it right now by issuing an executive order requiring government contractors to disclose their political spending. He doesn't even need agreement from the Boehner-McConnell Congress. That way, We the People will know which corporations are spending how much either backing politicians who may help them get lucrative government business that our tax dollars pay for or attacking politicians who do not. While we continue building nationwide grassroots momentum for a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United and working on other remedies to the plague of money in politics, we need President Obama to take this one simple step right now that will at least shed light on the political influence of corporations that get taxpayer-funded business from the federal government.

  • Ohio Governor: Make Point Place 43611 its own town again
Toledo charges Point Place residents 1.7% and up for property taxes while most of Ohio is being taxed at a 1.5% rate. We are treated like second class citizens and deserve to be able to govern our own area with our own tax revenue. There are close to 20,000 residents in our area and we only need 5,000 residents to make a change. Just think of all of the things we could have done in our area if Toledo wasn't taking our tax dollars.

  • Tell President Obama: shine a light on dark money!
Right now, President Obama could take executive action requiring federal contractors to disclose their political spending. If he does, he’ll be giving us a valuable tool to ensure politicians aren’t trading special favors for campaign cash. We deserve to know who's trying to buy our votes -- if Congress won't act, then the President needs to do what he can.Tell President Obama to take executive action to shine a light on dark money!

  • Congressional Reform Act of 2012
Past and present politicians should not be rewarded for the damage they have done. A national petition by citizens will be required to expose and shame them into doing the right thing. Familiarize yourself with "the Congressional Reform Act of 2012" and I hope you will agree that this is good for the country.

  • Leave a Legacy
As a retired scientist and engineer, I find it objectively easy to see this. I saw it at the Fortune 500 company that I worked for (the degeneration of quality R&D and product for short term greed). I fear for my children's future.

  • Protect the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau!
To protect American families from the predatory and unfair lending practices that contributed to the financial crisis. From the very beginning, though, Wall Street made clear they didn't want anybody holding them accountable or stopping their ability to exploit their customers. We must continue to protect our self and our families.

  • Investigate John Boehner for violations of FEC Laws
Section 441e of FEC law makes it illegal for, "a person to solicit, accept, or receive a contribution or donation" from a foreign national. In other words, if Speaker Boehner were to accept campaign money from Netanyahu, or use the speech to help raise money for Republicans in any way, he would be guilty of violating FEC law. Somebody needs to look into this, particularly to see if the hands of any of the Republican billionaires who obsess on Israel issues are involved in this. Section 441e also makes it illegal for "a foreign national, directly or indirectly, to make a contribution or donation of money or other thing of value, or to make an express or implied promise to make a contribution or donation, in connection with a Federal, State or local election." How is this speech not a thing of value to the Republicans?

  • Investigate John Boehner under the Logan Act
Established back in 1799, the Logan Act makes it illegal for unauthorized American citizens to negotiate with foreign governments. Violation of the act is a felony, and comes with a punishment of up to three years in prison. By inviting Prime Minister Netanyahu to speak to Congress, Speaker Boehner may have broken any number of laws, and the Department of Justice needs to investigate.
