I am inspired every time I hear them speak. I don't feel that way when I hear the declared candidates speak. I don't think I'm the only one.

When men and women go to fight for us it is our responsibility to make sure they come home. There are some things we can not control many of them do not make it home alive, but it is still our responsibility to make sure they do come home. Our Government sent men and women off to war and have not held up their end of the agreement, many of them are still POW or MIA. This petition is to reintroduce H.R. 231 and I know we haven't forgotten about the men and women still not accounted for lets make sure our Government doesn't forget they still have a job to do.

I'm tired of billionaires and corporations buying our elections and our politicians. It's supposed to be "We, The People", not "We, Big Money". Citizens United is just wrong.

Let's bring a level playing field to politics by overturning Citizens United. We are ALL affected by this.

I believe that too much money and time is spent during election campaigns. If we want to have greater say in government, we need to get big money, ie. corporations, out of politics. This committee would be a first step in the process.

Many politicians and their staffers in Missouri use their positions as starting points to become high-paid lobbyists. The rules in Missouri on how long a person has to serve in public office or work for a politician in office as well as gifts and donations to politicians are the most lenient in the US. One politician didn't even serve his full term. He quit in midterm to become a lobbyist. There should be a minimum of 3 years waiting period with 5 being even better. Our state and country are being sold out due to greed. We need to take it back and stop the hijacking of our country.

It is illegal for anyone to lie to Congress. We need a law making it illegal for Congress to lie/deceit/perjure or mislead Americans during elections and while serving in the United States Congress. Punishable by sanctions, fines and up to 5-8 years of imprisonment. The law for lying by elected officials can be identical in punishment as the law making it illegal for anyone to lie or mislead Congress. To urge Moveon.org to endorse Bernie Sanders for President. While moveon.org does not have an official email I did find an email for media relations. The fact that this petition exists should get the attention o Moveon.org

So far we have two candidates running in for the Democratic nomination: Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Although I believe Sanders has better ideas, I do not think he is electable. I also think that given his title as a self described socialist (I am too), he would have a very hard time working with a Republican controlled Congress. Hillary, while being more moderate, could get a lot more done that could be very good for the nation.

We need to remove barriers to voting. Online registration would make it easier to register for all eligible Wisconsin citizens.
