Senator Pan and Allen introduced SB277 to the California State Legislator, and if passed the bill would remove fundamental medical liberty. SB277 is written to guarantee future profits for the Pharmaceutical industry. SB277 is a threat to freedom and human dignity. This bill needs to be stopped and Pan and Allen must be removed from office.

The liberal media is doing its best to ignore the most viable candidate in the race, 80% of Republicans agree with Bernie Sanders on Citizens United and getting big money out of government. House Bill 4052 would take power away from communities in order to protect corporate profits. Special interests shouldn't be allowed to overturn decisions they don't like made by local governments, but now they're trying to prevent local laws that reflect our values, like making our workplaces healthier and requiring community benefit agreements when taxpayer resources are used in development projects. Our state is $400 million dollars in the red. The Kansas legislators spent close to $1 million dollars in overtime working on a budget. Really, spend more money when we already do not have any? The budget should have been taken care of in normal session. What were they thinking?

I have been a public school teacher for 16 years. I have dutifully paid my student loan each month for 14 years ( I had to defer for two years because my income was too low). My peers and I have been stuck in a legislative purgatory in which the patchwork of student loan bills that have been passed only address an exclusive number of borrowers. Even after 16 years of service and at the top of my pay scale, I still qualify for an income sensitive repayment plan. We need meaningful and inclusive change!

I am tired of letting big money campaign contributors narrow the field to 1 or 2 candidates before I even get a chance to vote! And my representatives care more about those big contributors than they do about us taxpayers. I want your help to change it and let the politicians know the current system is broken. Here's how RANK THE VOTE would work: When you vote, simply rank all the candidates you support in order of your liking. If you like the integrity and ideas of a candidate who “doesn’t have a chance!” because he doesn’t have big money support, you can cast your 1st choice for that great candidate, without "throwing away your vote." If that candidate does not get enough votes to stay in the running, your next choice gets your vote. So, for example, I may not like the big money candidate of my party, but I don't want to throw away my vote on a candidate without the support to win the general election. With a ranking system, my vote will be moved to my 2nd choice as soon as my 1st choice (the one who would really represent my views) is eliminated.
