• Recall Senator Dianne Feinstein
This Senator has betrayed all American citizens, by implementing PRISM, extended the Monsanto Protection Act, she voted 'no' on the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (S 397)--which would protect gun manufacturers, retailers and suppliers from being sued for crimes or accidents involving their products--and more! She no longer represents the people. She has outlived her usefulness.

  • Rep. Shimkus: Grow the Middle Class
Congress has 5 days scheduled before the Sep. 30 budget deadline to avoid a government shutdown. But some Republicans won't even negotiate unless Obamacare is defunded — and they're using the deadline to gain leverage. We need Rep. John Shimkus to prioritize expanding the middle class during the budget debate. Unless we act quickly, he may join with Republicans like Rep. Paul Ryan and support more cuts to education, healthcare, and other vital services.

  • One Bill, One Subject
Important legislation is often added onto bills as a "rider" or amendment and therefore it becomes invisible to public scrutiny or committee review. In order to create transparency in government and to prevent "pork barrel politics" each piece of legislation must be introduced as a single subject and assigned a unique number that can be tracked by anyone who is interested.

  • Election reform
Everyone I know regardless of political affiliation is fed up with Washington. No one feels that they are represented. Without reform, we keep electing more of the same and the cycle continues.

  • House Republicans: There are much more important issues for you to focus on than repeatedly tryin...
with only 9 days of work scheduled in September, 4 of which have already been used, what do the House Republicans decide to focus on? the looming government shutdown? debt ceiling? farm bill, immigration reform, a fix to the Voting Rights Act? jobs? nope. they spent their time yesterday voting on the number one priority on their list: GOP lawmakers voted for the 41st time to gut the Affordable Care Act. this has gone beyond amusing, this has become madness, a vendetta against the President of this country that has consumed them to the point where they don't care if the country goes down in flames. they will fiddle while it does. this needs to stop.
