• Financial Programs & Assistance for Elderly & Seniors
Before Haley took office there was RESOURCES established by Lt Gov Bauer for Seniors & the Elderly , 2 weeks after (SHE) took office these programs were CUT or Deleted. There are many seniors who have worked hard for this state thier entire life. Many are HOMELESS or on the verge of being without a place to stay. the Elderly has to stand or wait in lines for at least 5 to 8 hours at local agencies for assistance with UTILITY bills only to be told there is NO MORE FUNDS AVAILABLE. Now Haley REFUSES to accept any FEDERAL MONEY!!! We the ELDERLY, SICK, need help .

  • Social Security/Medicare Cuts
My petition is about the the Americans that worked long and hard for OUR benefits. These are not entitlements like WELFARE!! This is the money we paid into and were GUARANTEED until our death!! If you fail to do any of the following: raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans, Take the war monies and spend it on America's infrastructures, and stop giving oil companies subsidies, we will do everything in our power to tear down the Republicans next election.

  • 22 Year Veterans Disability decision in ten minutes
Veterans with Disabilities having their claims being decided in an office with VA care providers in less than 10 minutes. If you have been in since the age of 18 and there wasn't anything wrong with you going in, and now for all of those years; why does it take them over two years to come up with a decision. when all they have to do is check your DD214 to see how many times you have been deployed, and where you have been deployed and the type of combat badges you have. After all is said and done the Veteran still has to file and appeal trying to prove that this is service connected, WHY???

  • Opposition to the Millennium Hollywood Project
The Millennium Hollywood Project is currently moving through the city's approval process. Please sign up to show your opposition to this project. The project is out-of-scale and out-of-character with the recently approved Hollywood Community Plan and will cause excessive cumulative negative impact on the health, safety, traffic and infrastructure of Hollywood and the neighboring hillside communities. We request that prior to the City Planning Commission, Planning Department or their advisory agencies issuing any approvals or recommendation of approvals regarding the Millennium Project (and its proposed Tract Map adjustments and zoning variances) that the Planning Department reconsider the proposed Project’s impacts to the surrounding Hollywood area and adjacent hillside communities in relation to CEQA and Community Redevelopment Agency guidelines.

  • Corporate vs. Social Welfare
MPN (Mint News Press), Trisha Marczak. Please read this piece from Ms. Marcak and get this information out to anyone in the press or others since this is such a timely subject. People should know that Corporate welfare in 2007 was more than $90 billion. Social welfare programs were $59 billion. Show the citizens why Paul Ryan's budget is a sham.

  • Alabama does not support its veterans
The State budget for our state's veterans, along with all other state agencies, has caused a withering of the vine. Our vets and their dependents, from WWII up to Afghanistan are not being served due to massive state wide office closures & severe personnel losses.

  • Save our US Postal Service
Save our US Postal Service as we know it and need it. Through ruthless demands of Congress, Postal Offices in small cities like mine will disappear unless the rule of paying 75 years of pension in just ten years is repealed.

  • Save the US Postal Service
The Postal Service has targeted 4,500 post offices for closure and 230 processing plants for consolidation. The Postmaster General says he plans to close half of the country's 32,000 post offices over the next few years. The closings and consolidations won't save the Postal Service — they'll destroy it. Tell Congress and the President to extend the moratorium , while the country has a more thoughtful discussion about the future of the Postal Service.
