  • Save Social Security for Everyone: Don't give in to Cuts
    Many seniors rely on SS to pay their expenses. Expenses keep going up and if SS is cut, this will effect the well being of elderly who cannot work and have no other income. This is not socialism, this is common decency, aka humanistic values. Other civilized countries are keeping theirs. Lets not give in to extremists. Dems won.

    We voted in 2008 and in 2012 under the light of a HOPE. Social Security recipients and Medicare beneficiaries paid for them through a life time of work. We are also part of the middle class that you are advocating for. The effects of measures that decrease our incomes would be devastating for many.

    Social Security is the most successful social program in US history. It is completely self funded and is not in any major crisis. It does not not add to the budget deficit and therefore should be off the table in any political negotiations to address the deficit. Sen.
