MN Representatives and SenatorsCut Social Security?? I paid into Social Security for nearly 40 years, as did my school employers. I am now out of work, and struggling to make ends meet. I chose to work in independent and church schools. Had I worked elsewhere, I would have a healthy pension to rely upon. Please don't cut what I have paid into and what I need to live on. Thank you.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ed Cavin

Don't Send Seniors "Over the Cliff"I am already facing a higher retirement age than did my parents under Social Security. There must be no cuts in benefits for persons of any age. The social safety net must remain strong for the weakest among us.266 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Dennis Tucker

Reduce recidivism, and increase the success of marraiges suffering from IncarcerationMy Husband in incarcerated at Rush City Correctional Facility, MN. He was convicted of 2nd degree murder after an attempt to save his own life. As a result, our family is falling to apart. Maintaining a strong family, and successful Marriage will not only decrease the recidivism rate, but it will also increase the safety of correctional staff, and prevent children from growing up with only one parent. Private Family Visitation programs have proven in other states to have substantial positive effects in the areas I have listed and other areas as well.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Christine Griffin

President Obama: Please, Do Not compromise on Social Security.I am 53 years old and when I retire I expect to collect social security benefits. President Obama so you think it is FAIR to cut social security benefits without asking wealthy Americans to pay their fair share in taxes?280 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Rose

Do Not Hold Social Security or Medicare/ Medicaid As Hostages For Us, Our Children, and Grandchil...Please DO NOT sacrifice the futures of millions of us ordinary citizens, who have paid our fair share, all of our working lives, into Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, and other social responsibility programs, in order to save a tiny portion of this country's wealthiest from having to pay THEIR FAIR SHARE. We ARE entitled to receive the benefits we have earned, we, our children, and our grandchildren. We are not receiving these benefits "FOR FREE." We are NOT "sponging" off of the government or any of our citizens! By paying Social Security/ FICA payroll taxes, we have been paying for our retirement and the possibility of becoming disabled by "self-insuring", all these years. We have earned these benefits through hard work, disciplined budgeting, and "doing without, now" in order to save for the future. These proposed cuts MUST be stopped!118 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Kathleen P Harris

Do not Cut Social Security Increases!I am 55 and disabled and need every penny. I get a raise and Medicare premiums go up, and now a reduction in the pay raise too! Please do not punish us for electing Mr. Obama. I guarantee if my benefits are cut, I will vote the other party, down the line. Stop messing with the seniors and the disabled.1,060 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Andrew P Carpenter

Tell the Senate to pass immediate recovery funding for communities ravaged by Superstorm SandySuperstorm Sandy damaged over 650,000 homes, 427,000 businesses and created severe hardships for hundreds of thousands of families. The U.S. Senate is currently debating a $60.4 billion aid bill to rebuild communities devastated by Superstorm Sandy. It’s expected that the U.S. House of Representatives will debate a similar bill in the coming weeks. These funds need to be appropriated as quickly as possible. Without immediate and adequate assistance from the Federal government the devastation will deepen for the families and communities that have already suffered.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sindri McDonald

Stop the proposed cuts to our social securityMy husband and I are retired. I got sick with a chronic illness, and we lost everything to my medical expenses. My husband is 70 and still has to work part-time as a plumber to pay for my expensive medicine even though I have Medicare and Part D. We are not on SSI, and we struggle to get by. We cannot endure a cut to our meager Social Security.476 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Sheri Clark, retired teacher

Protect Social SecurityCuts or reductions in Social Security benefits or benefit cost of living increases will have a negative effect on my ability to pay the rising costs of food, gas, and about everything else.541 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Bennett Lentczner

Stop making cuts to Social Security and MedicareCutting the income of Social Security beneficiaries and increasing the cost of medical services to the same beneficiaries puts our most vunerable citizens at risk. I have been affected because I now have to live with one of my adult children instead of living on my own. How can you justify cutting taxes for people who are in the top 2% income when your poorest are barely surviving?1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Stephanie Leppard
