    American elders & disabled on Social Security struggle enough financially. Some must decide to spend on medical care or food. We cannot take more from the elderly & disabled when the 1% hasn't been paying their fair share for decades.

    We will all be greatly impacted negatively if any SS cuts are made including CPI formula changes that reduce future COLA's on SS. These proposed SS changes by Obama will significantly impact Seniors now & ino the future. Also, the payroll tax cut from 2 years ago must not be allowed to be again extended!

  • Social Security should NOT be on the Budget "Table"
    The President sadly forgot his pre-Election 'promise' that Social Security was NOT part of Budget/Deficit; and would NOT be "on the table" in Budget Negotiations. A President now offering cuts to COLA (clearly to "pay" for tax cuts now raised to $400K earners). Extremely limited income Seniors should NOT be cutting pills, or meals, or utility bills in-half to save Millionaires' "interest" income.

  • Social Security & Medicare cuts
    Do not allow any cuts to Social Security & Medicare! My husband & I are on fixed incomes and cannot tolerate any cuts to the entitlements we have paid into for the past 40 years! The are entitlements and do not play into the deficit situation currently before congress. Congress should pay back all the 'dipping into' social security over the past years before they take even more away form the seniors!
