• Demand Jason Smith Hold a Town Hall in the 8th District
Why should others join us in this call for change? Because we all deserve to be heard. We are concerned citizens of Missouri’s 8th District—workers, parents, students, veterans, farmers, and neighbors—who are tired of being ignored by the very people elected to represent us. Congressman Jason Smith has a duty to be accessible and transparent, but he continues to avoid open public town halls. This isn’t about party politics—it’s about accountability. When elected officials refuse to face their constituents, democracy breaks down. We’re standing up together to demand better. To demand answers. To demand a government that listens and responds. And we know that the more of us who speak out, the harder we are to ignore. Join us. Raise your voice. Because real change only happens when we stand together.

  • Declare a Measles Emergency
HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy has the sole authority to mobilize the full force of the federal government to get this outbreak under control, but he has yet to declare measles a public health emergency. But declaring a public health emergency would unlock critical resources, allow the CDC to expand its support to affected states, and send a clear message that the federal government is finally taking this crisis seriously. And while public health officials and pediatricians are calling for urgent federal action to contain the outbreak, especially in states where undervaccinated communities are at highest risk, RFK Jr. is not moving with urgency. That is why it’s crucial that we cut through the noise of misinformation and come together to put pressure on the federal government to do everything in their power to stop this epidemic from putting more children in danger.

  • Tax Profits from Media that Exploits BA Struggles
This Petition Is Not Against Art—It's for Justice: We believe in the importance of telling Black stories. However, justice requires that when profit is made from the historical and contemporary pain of a people, that people must also materially benefit. It is time to turn cultural awareness into structural action. Sign this petition if you believe that companies profiting off of Black American struggles should contribute directly to the communities whose lives, history, and culture they portray.

  • Tell Delta Airlines: Don't Use AI to increase prices for customers!
Delta has announced plans to use AI to price airline tickets for up to 20% of its domestic flights by the end of the year. This isn't about efficiency or fairness—it’s about maximizing profits by squeezing travelers for every dollar possible. Airlines have long used dynamic pricing based on demand, but this new approach poses serious concerns about personal data and privacy. AI pricing algorithms are designed to analyze your online behavior, travel history, and purchases to predict the highest price a customer is likely to pay. That means even less transparency about what tickets actually cost and skyrocketing fares for everyday people. This kind of price gouging could redefine how massive corporations use AI to extract more money from us. We've already seen AI used to raise rent prices and hike grocery bills—now it’s coming for our plane tickets. Delta's plan must be stopped before it spreads. Sign the petition to demand an end to AI-powered airfare pricing now.

  • OPEN LETTER: Texas Redistricting Undermines Our Democratic Republic
Mid-decade redistricting in Texas is an undemocratic power grab that bypasses the standard 10-year process meant to reflect population changes. It opens the door to extreme gerrymandering, silencing the voices of communities—especially communities of color, rural communities, communities vulnerable to major storms, the working class—and disrupting fair representation. Texans must speak up to protect their right to choose their representatives, not representatives hand picking their voters, and hold lawmakers accountable to real community needs, not political gain.

  • Tell Congress to Unmask ICE
Masked agents are inflicting terror on immigrant communities across the country, detaining people without warrants, raiding workplaces, and separating parents in front of their children. Under Trump, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) resembles a secret police force, often operating behind masks, in unmarked vehicles, and in plainclothes. What we are witnessing isn’t merely an immigration enforcement scandal, it’s a full-scale assault on our values. Three bills in Congress seek to change that. The VISIBLE Act (S.2212), the No Anonymity in Immigration Enforcement Act (H.R.4004), and the No Secret Police Act (H.R.4176) would require immigration enforcement officers to clearly display identification and prohibit the use of face coverings during operations. Unidentifiable agents abducting people from our streets is simply unacceptable. But we’re not powerless in the face of Trump’s mass deportation agenda. A key step toward accountability and shutting down these authoritarian tactics is unmasking ICE. That’s why we’re rallying support for these three crucial bills today, and we’re counting on you to speak out:

  • Tell Congress: Demand Answers over the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation
U.S. military contractors and Israeli forces have repeatedly opened fire into desperate crowds of hungry families. The UN has described the scene as a “death trap.” Nearly 1,000 people seeking aid in Gaza have been killed in the last few months alone, including almost 100 on July 20 — the deadliest day yet. The crisis has only spiraled in the weeks since the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), a highly controversial, Israeli government-backed U.S. organization, took over aid distribution operations. But it could get worse. Shocking reports reveal the State Department may send the GHF another $500 MILLION of our taxpayer dollars to further militarize humanitarian aid. We refuse to let humanitarian horrors continue in our name, and we’re not alone. Senator Elizabeth Warren is demanding answers before the State Department redirects ANY more funding to the GHF. It’s a crucial first step, but it’s going to take more voices to push to uncover the truth, and that includes yours.

  • Extend the ACA subsidies!
Expanded ACA subsidies have helped a record 21 million Americans afford coverage, and have been especially critical for middle-class families and older adults, who often earn just enough to not qualify for Medicaid but not enough to afford unsubsidized coverage. But if Congress fails to immediately address this crisis, premiums will rise by 75% on average, and even more in some states, which means the bill for people in those states will more than double. Fortunately, Congress has the power to prevent yet another health care crisis by extending these ACA subsidies. That is why it's critical that Congress act now, before time runs out. With your help we can remind lawmakers in Congress that health care is a basic human need, not a luxury.

  • Urge Coffee County, Alabama, to Send Kenneth Paul McLendon to Dual Diagnosis Rehab Instead of Prison
Why This Matters: • The Alabama prison system is engulfed in drugs, violence, and trauma—often brought in by staff themselves—and lacks even basic mental health services. • Kenneth has never been afforded the opportunity to recover, only to be punished. • A dual diagnosis rehab program would treat both his mental health and substance use challenges, giving him a real chance at stability and success. • Rehabilitation is more cost-effective and results in lower rates of reoffending than incarceration.

  • No Nobel Peace Prize for Trump!
Only four U.S. presidents have ever received the Nobel Peace Prize: Theodore Roosevelt (1906), Woodrow Wilson (1919), Jimmy Carter (2002), and Barack Obama (2009). And all of them received the prize for their role in advancing diplomacy and bringing about the end to brutal wars. Meanwhile, Trump has failed to meaningfully support Ukraine, halting aid earlier this year and taking months to finally show signs of support. And as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues—with nearly one thousand Palestinians killed just while trying to access food—the Trump administration continues to ignore the United Nations recommendations for independent aid, instead choosing to align with the Israeli government’s demands as millions of Palestinian civilians risk famine.  Potentially involving the U.S. in yet another forever war with Iran demonstrates Trump’s blatant disregard for the safety and well-being of everyday people. And that’s just the start—he’s already made hundreds of decisions that prove it, including:  • Working with Republicans in Congress to slash Medicaid and food stamp benefits  • Raising tariffs to partner countries, threatening the U.S.’s traditional allies with trade wars and causing a rise in costs that trickles down to consumers • Deploying the National Guard against Americans to break up peaceful protests • Using ICE to disappear people off the streets, infringing on our constitutional rights  Awarding Trump the Nobel Peace Prize would be an affront to every single American, as well as people across the globe. Sign the petition if you agree that Trump should NOT be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize, which must be reserved for leaders whose goal is to promote peace—both abroad and at home. ---- 7/30/25 - Correction: In an email sharing this petition, we referenced an article about Trump having a Nobel Peace Prize replica that was satire. Trump has never ordered a Nobel Peace Prize replica. His campaign did mislead people about winning a Nobel Peace Prize in 2020. .
