Delegate funding for the DNC conventionI have seen the expense list for a trip to the convention. Between air fare and the hotel it is in the thousands. If we can't get every delegate to the convention Bernie will lose. If we can get them all there we have the upper hand. Move On needs to help raise funds and distribute them to the state pledged delegates to make sure that every delegate that is pledged for Bernie makes it to the convention.62 of 100 SignaturesCreated by dustyn thompson

Democratic National Committee: Reform the Superdelegate SystemAt Maine's recent convention, Democrats voted to change Maine’s system and require superdelegates to vote according to the proportion of the people's vote. This happened in response to the fact that just one of the state's five superdelegates (20%) committed his vote to the 2016 presidential candidate who won 64% of the caucus vote and 68% of pledged delegates at the convention. In numerous states, the current situation of superdelegates overwhelmingly supporting the candidate who lost that vote is unacceptable. It is undemocratic and disenfranchises voters. If the Democratic Party wishes to live up to its name, it needs to fix the superdelegates system so that the will of the majority of voters is represented in every state and territory.2,597 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Carla White

Demand the best climate science in Washington State!Representing several youths who filed a petition in collaboration with Our Children's Trust, the Western Environmental Law Center won a precedent-setting climate change victory against the Washington Department of Ecology. The court ordered Ecology to implement a carbon emissions rule using the best available science by the end of 2016. Governor Inslee's administration has a history of proposing insufficient rules based on outdated science. We need your voice so that future generations have a legal right to a healthy atmosphere and stable climate!1,160 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Sarah Goeth, Western Environmental Law Center

Stop the BurnStop the Burn! Given the high probability that any delegate numbers will be insufficient for a Bernie victory, Given that apparently this fight is not about egos but the future of the Democratic Party, Given that the candidates’ difference between their democratic values and goals is relatively small, Given the history of the Democratic Party’s lack of unity and cohesion when needed most, Given that there is only one Democratic Senator to endorse Bernie, Given that the alternative to a Democrat in the White House is Trump, Given the enthusiastic wave of radicalized new Republican voters, Given the dire need for ALL Democratic voters to go to the polls to prevent a disaster in November, Given that the Republicans are enjoying every reduction of strength in the Democratic Party, Given that any attack on Hillary translates into added strength for Trump voters, It is time to stop the Burn! Let Republicans feel the New Bern! Klaus Roesch, Atlanta, Georgia11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Klaus Roesch

Lend Your Support for President Obama's Planned Historic Visit to the Hiroshima MemorialPresident Obama will make history by becoming the first U.S. President to visit nuclear ground zero when he is in Japan during the G7 Summit on May 26 and 27. On August 6 and 9, 1945, the United States ushered in the nuclear age when it dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing hundreds of thousands and changing the world forever. By visiting Hiroshima, President Obama will provide a reminder unlike any other that nuclear weapons pose a threat to global peace and security. But he should not stop there. He can and must take concrete steps during his waning days in office to advance his vision for a world without nuclear weapons. Like you, WAND has been both inspired and frustrated by the president’s nuclear weapons policies. He spearheaded a once-in-a-generation agreement to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon -- without firing a shot. Yet, he has also approved a plan to spend $1 trillion over the next 30 years that would lock in an excessive nuclear weapons arsenal for decades to come. We have urged the president to reverse those plans. Ben Rhodes, deputy communications director, explained the visit this way: “On May 27, the President will visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, a site at the center of the city dedicated to the victims of the atomic bombing, where he will share his reflections on the significance of the site and the events that occurred there. He will not revisit the decision to use the atomic bomb at the end of World War II. Instead, he will offer a forward-looking vision focused on our shared future. … The President’s time in Hiroshima also will reaffirm America’s longstanding commitment -- and the President’s personal commitment -- to pursue the peace and security of a world without nuclear weapons. … The President and his team will make this visit knowing that the open recognition of history is essential to understanding our shared past, the forces that shape the world we live in today, and the future that we seek for our children and grandchildren." In addition, chief Iran Deal negotiator and former Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, Wendy Sherman, characterizes what a visit would mean in this way: "Polling by the Pew Research Center shows that younger Americans are already much less likely than their grandparents to think that the use of nuclear weapons was justified. "And, indeed, the trend is such that years from now, the majority of all Americans are likely to believe it was wrong. Future generations need to understand history in all of its dimensions. The President's focus, therefore, should be on remembrance, on the importance of never again going down the road to a World War. We too must remember what we did in August 1945 and the profound need to ensure there is never another Hiroshima."147 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Jessie Calkins at WAND

Purple Line--No Wall Divide in Our Community! This wall support would visually and physically divide our community in half - north and south. The previous design presented to the community included pylon supports providing visibility; opportunities for commerce (such as an open market); more and safer street crossings; and less opportunity for criminal activity. Has our government forgotten about the need for environmental justice when weighing brick and mortar solutions in challenged communities? Our community should not be sacrificed in the state's effort to save money. Adding a wall of this magnitude would stifle economic growth that could happen with a positive transit solution that is open, well-lighted, generates quality increased economic development, provides safe crossings, increases overhead weather coverage for its patrons, provides elevators and stairs with uninterrupted visibility from grade to discourage crime, and incorporates public art.171 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Patricia Hayes-Parker

Stand with Hillary & Bernie: No Lame Duck Vote on TPPHillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have both said that they oppose a vote on the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal during a lame duck session of Congress after the November election. [1] Secretary Clinton responded to a question on a lame duck session from the Oregon Fair Trade Campaign by stating: “I oppose the TPP agreement - and that means before and after the election.” Senator Sanders said: “Holding a vote on the TPP during a ‘lame duck’ session would be going against the will of the people.” Even former Bill Clinton policy advisor William Galston now concedes that "the 2016 presidential campaign already has undermined public support for trade agreements and should force supporters of the Trans-Pacific Partnership to reassess their strategy…It is difficult to see how an end-of-the-year push for the agreement can succeed when the president-elect, no matter the party, is sure to be dead-set against it." [2] Urge Democratic Senators to press the Democratic National Convention Platform Committee to stand with Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders and adopt a platform plank in opposition to a lame duck vote on the TPP by signing our petition. Repeal Breed Specific Legislation Ordinances in Hodge, LouisianaI am being harassed because I own a "pitbull." I have been fined multiple times because of this. The ordinance needs to be done away with because it doesn't benefit the village of Hodge, LA. The ordinance only criminalizes responsible dog owners and the dogs themselves.424 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Christopher Kirkpatrick
