We, the residents of Wesley Hills, are shocked and upset with VERIZON'S BLATANT DISREGARD for our neighborhood and children's schools. Verizon has contracted a third-party to install DOZENS OF CELLULAR ANTENNAS AND DEVICES AROUND OUR HOMES AND CHILDREN'S SCHOOLS throughout our neighborhood.

It personally affects all Americans.

Racism is real. The recent killings of black men by white officers is a continuation of oppressive acts against minorities which was first initiated by the KKK in 1865. During that time it was common knowledge that sheriff's and deputies were active members in this hate group. The DOJ should investigate all officers and remove any and all personnel with ties to racial hate organizations

Although Barack Obama promised in 2008 that he would support labeling of foods containing genetically modified organisms (GMO) he has remained silent behind his "bully pulpit" while voter initiatives to require GMO labeling failed by narrow margins in three states (California, Colorado and Oregon.) My family has a right to know what is in the food they eat. President Obama needs to veto pending legislation that preempts the states from passing REAL and EFFECTIVE labeling which the vast majority of consumers are in favor of. As seen by last week's events in Dallas, military-style weapons of war pose a threat to both police officers and public safety. We must ban more from being sold and regulate those in current circulation.

By openly advocating for violence against the President of the United States over the public airwaves, former Rep. Joe Walsh clearly violated 18 U.S. Code 871 as well as numerous public broadcast standards.

Despite greater human need – record inequality, increased poverty and long-term joblessness – management at the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) wants to make it harder for eligible people to get or keep benefits (Medicaid, SNAP, home care, etc.).

Fireworks in city neighborhoods are out of control because too many people are shooting off illegal fireworks, which frighten our pets causing them to run away in fear, and disrupt our peace of mind. Over 500 animals were reported missing this 4th of July. Veterans and others who suffer from PTSD are also affected by these loud blasts. The potential for property damage is also high. We are a drought-stricken state and the fire danger is always a threat when people shoot off fireworks. Ban fireworks in neighborhoods. Let people go see them in designated venues where they are controlled and safe. While we are targeting Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Governor Brian Sandoval to receive this petition, we also believe this message needs to go to leaders all over Southern Nevada. There are existing laws banning fireworks in Clark County, but they aren't enforced.

We have family members and friends that live in this area and it will do more harm than good. Property values will decrease and drainage will tremendously affect this area. To house over 1000 new residents in an area that has a one way in and out is ridiculous, because the roads can not sustain such an increase.

Dewey Bryant is the Odessa City Councilman for place 2. Dewey Bryant’s complaint about nuisance waterfowl at his business and subsequent abuse of power as a politician shows his lack of regard for the citizens he is supposed to represent. Dewey Bryant’s abuse of power is responsible for our city's rapid response to involve Texas Parks and Wildlife to deal with the overpopulation of waterfowl at the Memorial Gardens Park duck pond. As a result of this abuse of power, Texas Parks and Wildlife will be executing around 90 ducks and geese to control the population of waterfowl in the park. I am starting this petition to ask for the Resignation of Dewey Bryant as The City Councilman for the City of Odessa Place 2. We cannot have people in political office that are more concerned with the needs of their business than the needs of those whom they are in office to represent. At a time when more and more Americans are becoming aware of gross misuses of police power, filming the police, especially secretly, is one of the few ways to bring to light instances of police brutality. In order to have a state where officers are held accountable, it must be legal to film on-duty officers under any and all circumstances.
