Justice for KatMy best friend attends Newman School in Boston MA. She was very excited to dye THE TIPS of her hair blue because she loves the color and it's therapeutic. Newman won't let her. I know dying my hair is therapeutic and is a way for me to express myself. If kids are forced to wear uniforms there should not be rules against other self expression.41 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Haley Maziarz

Do not increase the cost of Medicare, Part BI am 76 years old, with many health issues, the cost of everything is skyrocketing, yet a retired person's pay remains static. What was once just enough, is no longer; the medical costs, prescriptions, and trips to doctors and hospitals are such that you sometimes chose between buying food or medication. Most of us have worked as long as we can. I worked 50 years, retiring at 70+ because I knew that retirement would mean a huge cut in income and a constant increase in medical expenses. Please do not take from those who can least afford to pay.67 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Josephine Harrison

Rep. Ted Lieu — Thank You For Your Courage!Congressman Ted W. Lieu (CA-33), along with Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11), has sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch regarding allegations that Exxon/ExxonMobil intentionally hid the truth about the role of fossil fuels in influencing climate change. In their letter, Congressman Lieu and Congressman DeSaulnier request an investigation by the Department of Justice into whether or not ExxonMobil has broken any laws: “In this case, Exxon scientists knew about fossil fuels causing global warming and Exxon took internal actions based on its knowledge of climate change. Yet Exxon funded and publicly engaged in a campaign to deceive the American people about the known risks of fossil fuels in causing climate change. If these allegations against Exxon are true, then Exxon’s actions were immoral. We request the DOJ to investigate whether ExxonMobil’s actions were also illegal. ”114 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Alan Weiner

Prioritize the Nutrition of Fairfax County Public School MealsDid you know that meals served at prisons are actually more nutritious than the ones served at the average American high school? For many students, school meals are the only meals they receive all day. Childhood obesity is a big problem in the United States, and providing more nutritious meals at school will be a large step towards the solution. Let's work together to ensure that those meals are nutritious and tasty.34 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Siena Martin

FREE THE LEADER OF INDEGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRAThe leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu was kidnapped on October 14, 2015 by the Department of State Services (DSS) in Lagos, British-Nigeria, and currently undergoing Torture. After 4 days, He has still not been charged, allowed visitation, allowed representation, and or any official statements as to the reason his civil rights are violated. President Muhammadu Buhari must stop breaking International Treaties against "Torture" and "Enforced Disappearance" which he is under obligation to respect. Nnamdi Kanu’s life is under severe threat because he exposes the endemic corruption of British-Nigeria; and the grave dangers that ongoing systemic marginalization and massacring of Biafrans by British-Nigeria Muslims, Islamic terrorists, military and police forces portend for his people via Radio Biafra. His abduction therefore is a slap in the face of United Nations, and all free people. Freedom of speech and association is being assaulted by Buhari in full view of the world. Do not be silent. Sign the petition to free Nnamdi Kanu, and hold those who commit crimes against humanity accountable. No more tax cuts for the rich in NJ!Something awful is brewing in Trenton. New Jersey Democratic legislators are considering a terrible bargain with Republicans that would give NJ’s wealthiest (another) tax cut, raise taxes on working families, and blow a hole in our finances. The basics: Republicans would agree to hike the gas tax to fix NJ’s crumbling roads and bridges, but ONLY IF Democrats agree to cut or eliminate NJ's inheritance and estate taxes. Gov. Chris Christie recently called this ridiculous proposal 'tax fairness.' But while everyone would pay for a gas tax, just one in ten estates is subject to the estate and inheritance taxes. Most of the revenue comes from estates of $1 million or more. This plan would be Robin Hood in reverse: raising taxes on working families while delivering yet another tax cut to the wealthy. We expect tax cuts for the rich and tax hikes for the rest from Republicans. The really scary part is that Democrats may go along with this awful scheme – unless we act now.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Analilia Mejia

President Obama: Stop Mountain Top RemovalMany of my remaining family members live in Eastern Kentucky and for decades have experienced the destruction of forests, animal habitats, streams and people's physical and mental health deteriorate as a result of deep and strip mining coal removal to the last ton. Now entire mountain tops are removed with little or no environmental damage assessment. Ancient peaks of exposed rock formations destroyed while potentially releasing ancient bacteria and molds further exacerbating human health.25 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jamale Allan

URGE DOJ to Enforce NOTA Against Human Egg TraffickingOvaries are human organs, and their removal carries the same risks as other surgical procedures involving anesthesia, in addition to risky hormone injections. Yet college students are being invited to violate the NOTA law by advertisements promising as much as $50,000 for their eggs. The sale of human eggs may be part of an alleged $80 million industry (Lindsay Kamakahi v American Society for Reproductive Medicine), but as demonstrated by businesses such as Napster, prolific business activity can be halted overnight if determined to be illegal.63 of 100 SignaturesCreated by MonaLisa Wallace, Esq.
