Allow Medical Cannabis in Anne Arundel CountyAnne Arundel County residents suffering from cancer, HIV/AIDS, seizures, autoimmune diseases, post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries and other debilitating health conditions should not have to suffer in the darkness. They should not have to travel long distances to procure a medicine that their doctor has deemed effective and beneficial. Anne Arundel County residents should be afforded the right to local access to medicinal marijuana which can improve their way of life. Please sign the petition and tell County Executive Steve Schuh and the other members of the Anne Arundel County Council to be proactive in safely and effectively structuring the County’s medicinal cannabis program.31 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Danielle Hodgkin

Accept more refugees fleeing the war in SyriaLike most of us in the U.S., I am a descendant of immigrants. My ancestors fled the famine in Ireland and oppression in Germany. I feel that I have a responsibility to help others desperate to live in our country and make it better.52 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Grant Schott

Harvard Campus Services: Save the MAC Quad!Harvard talks a lot about common spaces, and one of the nicest green open spaces on campus is the MAC Quad. People lay out in the sun and read and several sports teams practice there. It would be a real shame to lose a third of that space to a parking lot.554 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Darragh Nolan

Pass paid sick days in Princeton! The United States is one of the only developed countries in the world that doesn't provide people paid sick days. In New Jersey alone a staggering 1.2 million working people lack paid sick time they can use to care for themselves or their loved ones when illness strikes. Over the last two years nine municipalities -- including Jersey City, Montclair, Newark and Trenton -- have passed local laws that allow workers to earn paid sick time. Princeton could - and should - be next. Tell the Princeton Municipal Council to pass a strong paid sick days law!129 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Craig Garcia

Apologize to Syrian Refugees, Mike Huckabee!Mike Huckabee made light of the Syrian Refugee Crisis at a conference in St. Louis, where he said, “Are they really escaping tyranny, are they escaping poverty, or are they really just coming because we’ve got cable TV? I don't mean to be trite." His comments are offensive and do not accurately represent the extreme violence that the Syrian refugees are fleeing and the struggle they face trying to leave Syria and find safety. As the world takes in and cares for refugees, this GOP candidate's comments are deplorable and he should apologize for being so out of touch and cruel. APOLOGIZE, MIKE HUCKABEE! Spirit Week: TogasThe senior class should be able to wear tank tops under their togas rather than t-shirts during spirit week. As stated in the handbook, "clothing with spaghetti straps, or which is strapless, backless, low-cut, see-through, or which reveals the midriff or undergarments should not be worn in school." Wearing a one-inch tank top does not break the dress code, so wearing it during Spirit Week should not change these rules.217 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Katherine Hargrave

Stop Congress from Endorsing Auto Loan DiscriminationFor years, African-Americans, as well as Hispanic and Asian Americans, have paid significantly higher interest rates on car loans than have other buyers of equal credit-worthiness. Now, in a fresh outrage, more than 170 members of Congress are trying to undermine the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's ability to combat discrimination in the auto lending market.237 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Jim Lardner, Americans for Financial Reform
