Anne Arundel County residents suffering from cancer, HIV/AIDS, seizures, autoimmune diseases, post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries and other debilitating health conditions should not have to suffer in the darkness. They should not have to travel long distances to procure a medicine that their doctor has deemed effective and beneficial. Anne Arundel County residents should be afforded the right to local access to medicinal marijuana which can improve their way of life. Mike Huckabee made light of the Syrian Refugee Crisis at a conference in St. Louis, where he said, “Are they really escaping tyranny, are they escaping poverty, or are they really just coming because we’ve got cable TV? I don't mean to be trite." His comments are offensive and do not accurately represent the extreme violence that the Syrian refugees are fleeing and the struggle they face trying to leave Syria and find safety. The senior class should be able to wear tank tops under their togas rather than t-shirts during spirit week. As stated in the handbook, "clothing with spaghetti straps, or which is strapless, backless, low-cut, see-through, or which reveals the midriff or undergarments should not be worn in school." Wearing a one-inch tank top does not break the dress code, so wearing it during Spirit Week should not change these rules.

We the people should have the right to hold law enforcement officials accountable or commendable while they're performing their duties on our behalf. Audio and video recording them performing their duties at a safe distance should not be a crime.
