• Take Down The Confederate Flag
Dylann Roof committed domestic terrorism in the name of the Son's of the Confederacy. He has Confederate Iconography all over his social media accounts. The racist beliefs that Dylann Roof exhibits were birthed out of the his beliefs in confederate principles. This flag no longer has a place in American Society and we as a nation can not move the conversation of racial equality forward with it in place above government buildings anywhere in America.

  • Lifesaving Peacekeepers Needed in Darfur
The government of Sudan has launched a series of devastating attacks in Darfur, at least 78,000 people have fled their homes this year. Emboldened by the lack of international attention, Sudan is hoping to remove the last line of defense for the people of Darfur, demanding an "exit strategy" for UN peacekeepers. The UN Security Council will vote on the fate of the UN peacekeeping mission in Darfur by the end of June. If peacekeepers are forced to leave, the lives of 4 million people will be at risk. President Obama, the Unites States and the world cannot abandon Darfur. By ignoring the violence and postponing justice, conditions have gotten much worse for the victims of Sudan's genocidal regime. It must stop.

  • The Dominican Republic’s “Ethnic Purging” OF HAITIANS
The Dominican Republic is set to begin what some are calling “ethnic purging,” placing the fate of hundreds of thousands of Dominicans of Haitian descent into limbo. Half a million legally stateless people could be sent to Haiti this week, including those who have never stepped foot in Haiti and don’t speak the language. In 2013, a Dominican constitutional court ruling stripped the citizenship of children born to Haitian immigrants in the Dominican Republic as far back as 1929, retroactively leaving tens of thousands without citizenship. Today marks the deadline for undocumented workers to register their presence in the Dominican Republic or risk mass deportation. However, only 300 of the 250,000 Dominican Haitians applying for permits have reportedly received them. Many have actively resisted registering as foreigners, saying they are Dominican by birth and deserve full rights. Dominican authorities have apparently organized a fleet of buses and set up processing centers on the border with Haiti, creating widespread fears of mass roundups. The Dominican Republic’s decision to denationalize hundreds of thousands of people has sparked international outcry. We are joined by the acclaimed Haitian-American novelist Edwidge Danticat. • Remove the Confederate Flag From All Government Places
Symbols of hate have no place in our government. The Confederate flag is not a symbol of southern pride but rather a symbol of rebellion and racism. On the heels of the brutal killing of nine Black people in a South Carolina church by a racist terrorist, it's time to put that symbol of rebellion and racism behind us and move toward healing and a better United States of America!

  • Remove the Confederate Flag From All Government Places
Symbols of hate have no place in our government. The Confederate flag is not a symbol of southern pride, but rather a symbol of rebellion and racism. In the S.C. Declaration of Causes of Session it clearly states that the reason for leaving the union was over the right to own slaves. It's time to put the symbol of that rebellion behind us and move toward healing and a better United States of America!

  • Driver's Licenses for ALL! Vote S.0391
We want to make clear our community's position on the current Driver's License legislation: we support the bill S.0391. This bill would provide members of our community with legal access to driver's licenses, and the ability to drive without fear of deportation. Cities and States like Chicago, Vermont, California, New Jersey and Connecticut, to name a few, have already taken the step towards greater equality by passing similar laws that provide licenses for all, regardless of immigration status. Rhode Island has a responsibility to its immigrant families to uphold our values of fairness and safety by passing these reforms. • Recall Senator Pan
Senator Pan and Allen introduced SB277 to the California State Legislator, and if passed the bill would remove fundamental medical liberty. SB277 is written to guarantee future profits for the Pharmaceutical industry. SB277 is a threat to freedom and human dignity. This bill needs to be stopped and Pan and Allen must be removed from office.

  • KENTUCKY CEMETERY LEGISLATION
Kentucky citizens and consumers should be allowed the expectation that their loved ones will be treated with the same dignity and respect in death as they are in life. Kentucky State Law should provide regulated protection in upholding the sanctity of the handling and disposition of human remains and the preservation of final resting places. Ky law should require and ensure that ALL deceased be accorded equal treatment and respect for human dignity without reference to ethnic origins, cultural backgrounds, or religious affiliations. The cemetery industry and operations in Kentucky, should be declared to affect the public health, safety, and well-being of its citizens and to be subject to regulation and control in the public interest. The FTC monitors and regulates funeral homes, but cemetery legislation is nearly "non-existent"

  • Tell MSNBC You Will Stop Watching if They Do Not Give Bernie Sanders Equal Time with Hillary Clin...
Media should NOT be in the business of choosing the party nominee for President. Senator Bernie Sanders deserved equal air time to Secretary Hillary Clinton. As Sanders surges in the polls, it grows increasingly discordant that MSNBC's news programming focuses almost solely on Hillary Clinton's campaign. Please join us in demanding MSNBC do its job.

  • Mandatory body cameras on all CPS workers.
C.P.S. employees have the power to heavily influence the removal of your child/children from your home, temporarily or permanently. The removal of a child from a family is a serious event, which permanently scars the minds of all those involved, as well as friends and relatives. One would think this power to severely disrupt the lives of thousands of families across the U.S. would have a lawful system of checks and balances. I speak for thousands of people when I say this system lacks proper oversight. I have started this petition in hopes of influencing a new law, making it mandatory for C.P.S. employees to wear body cameras when visiting a family's home. A body camera on every C.P.S. worker who visited a family's home would prove or disprove the allegations made against the family in question. The objective recording of the C.P.S. worker's visit would accelerate the process of separating a child from a potential life-threatening environment, while keeping upright families from getting completely engrossed in family courtrooms.
