The United States Supreme Court has ruled in Obergefell v. Hodges that marriage is a constitutionally protected right of all citizens of the United States of America, including members of the LGBT community. When you, and all officials of this State, decided to enter into public service you became servants of all of the citizens of Texas, not just the ones you agree with. The public servants of this State receive their paychecks from the State, counties and cities that they serve, not from their respective churches or religious institutions. We have no issue with you having your deeply held religious beliefs. But if they prevent you from executing your jobs, from which the citizens of this State employ you to perform, then you should find another job. You have a constitutional duty to enforce all laws, even the ones you do not agree with because of your deeply held religious beliefs. It is time for you to stop disrespecting the rule of law and begin to immediately require all public servants responsible for issuing marriage certificates to our LGBT Texans to do so, and to require any public servant who, under usual and ordinary circumstances, would perform a wedding ceremony to heterosexual couples to perform those same services to homosexual couples seeking to marry. Note that this requirement does not include any religious institution who have specific exclusions from the Supreme Court of the United States' ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges.

In the United States of America, cellphone use while driving causes 1 in 4 car accidents. Today, while driving with my mom, a lady was on her cellphone and went through a stop sign without stopping or looking, and almost caused us to get into a car accident! Other states banned this for a great reason, to help keep drivers safer. Shouldn't North Carolina, too?

Recently SB 1320 was enacted in Arizona deregulating and removing State Board Authority over the application of permanent eyelash extensions, allowing non-licensed individuals to apply these extensions. We are asking for a revision to the Senate Bill, to reinstate authority to the Arizona Board of Cosmetology, over the application of Eyelash Extensions. We are concerned about the health, safety and well being of the consumer, when a medical grade adhesive is applied to the eye area by an unlicensed professional/whom is not regulated or subject to disciplinary action by any governing authority.

Greece is experiencing a financial crisis imposed by the hardline austerity demands and dangerous brinkmanship of its official creditors, especially the International Monetary Fund [IMF]. The IMF is a US-taxpayer financed institution. President Obama [1] and US Nobel-prize winning economists Paul Krugman [2] and Joseph Stiglitz [3] have criticized the IMF policies which have led to this crisis, which is coming to a head this week with threats that Greece may be forced to default on its debt and leave the Euro if Greek voters don’t approve new austerity demands, including cuts to public pensions and raising the retirement age. I have witnessed multiple teams in on-line gaming cheat in order to win tournments and large sums of money. Young people cannot win in these games anymore without the aid of "Cheats" which can be purchased on-line or created by online hackers. Very talented youth are not able to use their skill to win; instead they are manipulated into acquiring these "Cheats" to win. This causes a belief system that encourages youth to follow the path of cheating to get ahead in all areas of their lives. It is morally wrong and needs to be stopped by better regulation and monitoring of these platforms. We would like to start by banning Team Carbon and the cheaters on it.

There is no need for a 7th-12th grade charter school in the 40th ward. Charter schools were intended to supplement services in communities where the public schools were lacking or over crowded. The 40th ward schools are experiencing a period of positive growth through community involvement. Instrinsic is an experimental, unproven education system of online learning and we say NO to this corporate privatization of our public money. Rosehill Cemetery is an old and valued community treasure. We want this ubran sanctuary to stay in tact for the sake of all who live in the area, the wild life and migratory birds that have used this space for generations and to honor the burial place of our friends, family members and those honorably killed in military action.

I am totally against using derogatory terms used to describe a particular race. As an African-American woman, I am highly offended and I want it removed from all English dictionaries.

For years, the University of Pittsburgh Environmental Law Clinic has helped residents in Southwestern Pennsylvania get the legal representation they deserve when pollution threatens their health, their home and their community. But now, our legislators in Harrisburg want to prohibit any funding from the state to support this critical service. Whether it's taking on illegal dumping of fracking wastewater, helping citizen facing damages from coal mining, contaminated drinking water supplies or other pollution sources, the Pitt Law Clinic provides free legal help to people facing these and many other environmental problems. If the legislature does not believe that people of modest means are deserving of representation, it has abandoned its constituents to stand behind industry and the wealthy.

There have been too many assaults on African American Churches in the wake of the South Carolina shooting. Six Churches have been burned. The Department of Justice needs to investigate these hate crimes.

I've been saving this issue for a long time. If they do not change this now, when the confederate symbols are being seen for what they are, then when? The Maryland state song is not just a symbol, it actually spells out in explicit terms what all Marylanders should do. It is way out of date, and needs to go.
