Despite passage of the “Humane Shelter Law," (KRS Chap.258) the Greenup County Animal Shelter in Greenup, KY continues to treat the animals in their care with reckless disregard for the suffering that they are causing. Many of us are realizing that the trails we are seeing in our skies coming from planes and jets are not contrails, but actually Geoengineered chemtrails. This is also called Aerosol spraying. The FDA has not approved ADHD first-line treatment amphetamines for toddlers less than three years of age. According to a report by the CDC official Susanna N. Visser, at last year’s Georgia Mental Health Forum, more than 10,000 two and three year olds are being prescribed amphetamines for ADHD. Toddlers should not be chemically punished for their behavior. Toddlers should not be experimented on for being inattentive, impulsive and hyperactive. The California Department of Public Health declared pertussis (whooping cough) an epidemic in 2014, a sharp rise over the past four years. There was an outbreak of measles in 2014 as well. The Los Angeles Times and numerous other media sources have published data on vaccination rates in Southern California showing the widespread use of the “personal belief exemption” (CA Code 120365) by parents to excuse their children from mandatory vaccinations. Public health officials have tied the rise in pertussis and measles to the lowering of the vaccination rate. If this trend continues, the immunity of the entire population is threatened, especially those with weakened immune systems: the very young, the very old, and the like. This petition seeks to address falling vaccination rates by requiring all children to be vaccinated in order to attend California schools unless they have a medical condition that precludes it.

Too often the policies and governing philosophy of Governor Brownback conflicts with the needs and desires of the citizens of Kansas. Farmers are now being attacked, alongside teachers and members of the LGBT community. We the people have had enough! Women helped build this nation. We are citizens. We gave birth to every citizen. We pay taxes. We fight for our nation, yet we are not included in our own Constitution! Paying women less than men who do the same work with the same expertise is wrong. All are supposed to be equal in our great nation! Let's make it happen.

We oppose subsidizing television programming that we do not want or use. Being charged for ‘packages’ of programming (religious, sports, home shopping, infomercial, and faux news as examples) that we will never use, and being denied programming that we DO want because it doesn't fit into a pre-determined 'package' is nothing less than legalized corporate extortion. We are petitioning for a regulation of the television provider industry, to mandate them to stop charging for and forcing unwanted programming on subscribers, and begin programs offering 'ala carte' packaging based on actual buyer desires and use.

One of the measure that has been proposed is to let "conversion therapy" of LGBT youth be legal. This blatant crime against humanity is torture, which often leads to psychological damage, including PTSD, identity issues, and even suicide. We need to speak out to all who support "conversion therapy" and make it illegal on a national level! This is brazen discrimination against those who cannot help who they are, who they were born to be, needs to end in every state! According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, in North Carolina there are approximately 319,000 people who do not have another health insurance option if we do not expand Medicaid. They have too little income to qualify for the Affordable Care Act exchange and too much income to qualify for Medicaid without the expansion. Many are working poor, students, or women. People die every year in North Carolina due to poverty and lack of health insurance, because they do not receive the screenings and routine health care that can catch and manage health problems before they become life-threatening conditions. Due to lack of Medicaid funding, hospitals are suffering and some have closed their doors, leaving their communities without emergency services and endangering health and lives. Expanding Medicaid would create 25,000 badly needed jobs and lead to a healthier and more productive workforce. Ninety percent of the funding would come from the federal government, leaving the state cost relatively modest. Let’s expand Medicaid and invest in the health, well-being, and productivity of the people of North Carolina.

I am a teacher and this is so offensive. Governor Walker has compared teachers and labor unions to a terrorist group. Teachers deserve praise for what they do each and every day.
