• People of the UNITED STATES v. (FOX) NEWS CORP
Our entire country has been and is continuously affected, harmed and ill informed by virtue of NEWS CORP consistently and willfully misrepresenting opinions, obfuscations, half-truths and probably blatant lies, as fact. This has led most recently to a most embarrassing international incident tarnishing the very reputation of the entire United States in the eyes of the rest of the world, including some of our very close allies, causing them to question our veracity, understanding and discrimination of Fact versus Fiction.

  • Say NO to the Madison Tennessee Christian Morality Police
This petition has been started in opposition to the people in Madison who have felt the need to villainize and discriminate against others simply on the basis of a personal lifestyle choice. Ultimately the opposition to this business is not about the business, it is about the people who keep the doors open. We live in a free country where everyone's rights and choices should be respected.

  • Require a "Special Use Permit" to build a neighborhood gas station
Our community members deserve to be heard, and gas stations should not be built adjacent to residential neighborhoods! Such an establishment will affect the health, safety, comfort, and general welfare of all our residents.

  • Gerawan workers need your signature on petition to school board; hearing Feb 10
Gerawan workers are excited. The Los Angeles Unified School District Board (LAUSD), who contracts to purchase Gerawan’s products, is taking a stand for their rights. On February 10, the LAUSD Board will vote on a resolution asking its procurement office to inform the board about Gerawan Farming’s compliance with fair labor practices before any contracts with this vendor are brought to the board for approval. Can you sign the Gerawan workers’ petition in support of this resolution? Gerawan workers will deliver the signed petition when they testify in Los Angeles on February 10th. This vote will be held while an administrative judge in Fresno continues to preside over the months long state hearing regarding alleged flagrant labor law violations by Gerawan Farming Inc. The school board resolution “calls upon Gerawan Farming to comply with state and federal laws, including labor relations…and to immediately implement the agreement issued by the neutral mediator and the state of California.” The proposed LAUSD resolution vows to ensure “that agricultural vendors and suppliers be in compliance with all local, state and federal laws, including the Agricultural Labor Relations Act.” It also requests that the district’s “Procurement Services Division report back to the board updating Gerawan Farming’s compliance with fair labor practices before any contracts with this vendor are brought to the board for approval.” The Los Angeles City Council and Berkeley City Council both passed similar resolutions.

  • Stand with the Lummi Nation against Coal Exports!
Exporting coal off the coast of Washington is a bad idea, period. But right now, there’s a proposal on the table to build a coal export terminal in the Salish Sea. Not only would this terminal threaten our health and contribute to climate change, it would also threaten fisheries that the Lummi Nation have used for over a thousand years. Earlier this month, the Lummi sent a powerful message to the Army Corps of Engineers, asking them to deny the permit and honor the Lummi’s treaty rights. We stand with the Lummi Nation and join them in asking the Army Corps to honor these treaty rights and stop this destructive project. Please email your representatives today and ask them to call on the Army Corps to oppose this project.

  • Ask DCF to place Caylee with her grandmother
I am Caylee's maternal grandmother and I have been fighting for months to have my only granddaughter placed with me, a fit and willing relative caregiver. Caylee should not be separated from her entire biological family due to the act of her father. This is very punitive to Caylee.

  • End the dibs system for snow parking in Chicago
It's already difficult to find parking in Albany Park as well as other neighborhoods. One of the galling things about the dibs system is that many people who assert dibs to a parking spot don't do much work to clear the snow. They assert a "right" to a parking spot based on their car being there during the snow storm, not doing quality work. Chicago parking works better if everyone clears their own spot & shovels the snow on the parkways NOT in between the cars.

  • Wrongfully Convicted
Hi my name is Dawatha Davis I had been emailing and calling agency to get help for my son. He was sentence to 20 years to life mandatory for a crime he didn't commit. He was just 16 when this all started. He took a plea at the end but was lied to by his lawyer. The lawyer stated he would do lesser time if he took the plea but when all was done it was a mandatory sentence. That was not the deal he stated not only to my son but me and my family as well. Please help me my son never had a record at all! He didn't get a fair trial. The lawyer did not call anyone to testify on my sin behalf. Not even me if you can help me please.

  • Make Vaccines Mandatory to Attend Oregon Schools
Public health officials have tied the rise in pertussis and measles to the lowering of the vaccination rate. If this trend continues, the immunity of the entire population is threatened (known as ‘herd immunity’). Dangerous communicable diseases will spread further, and will also affect people who have been vaccinated—those with weakened immune systems, the very young, the very old, and the like. This petition seeks to address falling vaccination rates by requiring all children to be vaccinated in order to attend Oregon schools unless they have a medical condition that precludes it.

  • Make Vaccines Mandatory to Attend California Schools
The California Department of Public Health has reported a sharp rise in the incidence of pertussis (whooping cough) over the past four years, declaring this disease an epidemic in 2014. There was an outbreak of measles in 2014 as well. The Los Angeles Times and numerous other media sources have published data on vaccine rates in Southern California showing the widespread use of the “personal belief exemption” (CA Code 120365) by parents to excuse their children from mandatory vaccinations. Public health officials have tied the rise in pertussis and measles to the lowering of the vaccination rate. If this trend continues, the immunity of the entire population is threatened (known as ‘herd immunity’).
