• Historic Holly Street is not a highway
Ever since the City restriped Holly Street in July 2014 without giving residents enough notice and without an EIR, Holly residents have a tough time getting in and out of driveways and it is unsafe for everyone, children especially!

  • Bringing service dogs home for troops.
Dogs that are trained as service dogs are closer to their owners than even our beloved pets. It's cruel to separate veterans from their dogs who have been not just a source of comfort, but sometimes actual life savers. Allowing the vets to bring their dogs home with them is a tangible way of saying "Thank you for your service."

  • Allow student loans to be re-financed as mortgages are.
Because my daughter-in-law is still paying off her student loan, she cannot afford to buy a home & is otherwise unable to make purchases which could help to revive the economy. House and Senate members who want to DO something to stimulate the economy, not just play blame games & talk, talk, talk, should ACT now. Relieve students and their families of burdensome debt, & revive growth.

  • Allow a Parole Hearing For Decedrick Gainous
My son was convicted of a crime and at the time he was 18 and now 39 years old. He has been in Texas Department of Corrections since 1994. He was given a life sentence, with a possibility of porale in 40 years. According to prison time, he has been in there 40 years. Prison time is somewhat different from regular time. For some reason the 40 years seems to never come. So I'm asking if you would please sign my petition. Please allow my son a fair chance for a parole hearing.

  • Daylight Saving Time Impairs Vision - Sign for Visual Health
Daylight Saving Time (DST) is bad for the economy, the environment and peoples health, but no group suffers more than the blind and visually impaired. This outdated practice neglects the visual impairment DST inflicts on everyone especially the visually impaired. Sign the petition to get visual relief from the darkness of Daylight Saving Time.

  • Mental Health
I'm starting this petition to increase funding for mental health services and to increase awareness for the mentally ill who usually can't speak for themselves. I myself have a serious mental illness and I am an advocate for others who share my struggles. I cannot do this alone though so this petition is a way that I can get other people in my corner.

  • No Road to Ambler
The Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority's (AIDEA) 220-mile road proposal is poorly planned and studied and does not adequately account for long term damage to local wildlife, waterways, and ways of life. AIDEA's consistent disrespect of major local opposition while spending state funds to subsidize corporate liabilities and privatize foreign profit is not consistent with Walker administration values. This project should be stopped before wasting any additional resources.
