When the village of Broadview, Illinois pleaded with ICE to “stop making war on our community,” ICE responded with threats to bring a “s*** show” to the Chicago suburb. Congressional candidates, clergy, and elected officials were among those peacefully protesting Trump’s immigration crackdown when federal agents made good on that threat, deploying tear gas and pepper balls on the crowd. Tear gas is a chemical weapon BANNED in warfare by both the Chemical Weapons Convention and Geneva Protocol. But these agreements allowed for a critical, dangerous exception: Use by domestic law enforcement. As federal agents and local police increasingly resort to using tear gas, including in response to legal and peaceful protest, Congress MUST ban the domestic use of tear gas and get it off our streets now. Today, we’re counting on you to help us send lawmakers a resounding message tens of thousands of people strong. 

This isn't just about one mural in one town. This is about the First Amendment and everyone's constitutional right to freedom of speech and expression.

In response to a post sharing a video clip of Rep. Jayapal, Rep. Gillette violently said that people like her should be “tried, convicted, and hanged.”  In the clip, Rep. Jayapal speaks in support of nonviolent protest against the Trump administration.  A majority of Americans are concerned about political violence. And, as the Trump administration attacks free speech and freedom to protest, it is as important as ever to stand up for the right of everyday Americans to speak out against their government without fear of violence or retaliation.  Remarks like Rep. Gillette's can stoke extremism and intimidate people out of exercising their First Amendment rights. They violate the House rules. And they demonstrate a complete disregard for the safety and well-being of the people he is sworn to serve.  Sign the petition to show that the American people reject this kind of violent rhetoric from our elected officials, and to demand that the Arizona House reject it as well.

Representative Mikie Sherrill graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1994 and served for nearly a decade in the U.S. Navy.  The Trump administration illegally released Rep. Sherrill’s military record to try to attack her gubernatorial campaign. It’s a shocking and blatant violation of privacy and security—putting Rep. Sherrill and her family in danger.  Ciattarelli’s campaign not only accessed these unredacted records—they distributed them, too. Releasing her unredacted personnel files is an affront to anyone in the U.S. military. As Rep. Sherrill posted on social media: “No veteran’s record is safe.” The New Jersey race for governor is heating up, and this debacle occurred with less than six weeks to go. It’s unacceptable for the Trump administration and Republicans to break the law for their own political gain. We need to send a clear message that voters will not tolerate this kind of behavior.  Rep. Sherrill, other veterans, and all Americans deserve transparency into how this transpired and the assurance that it will not happen again. Demand an open and thorough investigation NOW. 

Jenn Davis is a mom, an avid churchgoer, a teacher and overall a great person. Her firing was due to bias and hate. A school board member pushed harder for the loss of teachers' jobs due to his political opinion and it is not okay.

At 56 years old, he is not only a devoted father and grandfather but also a pivotal figure in the lives of his US citizen daughter and two US citizen grandsons, one of which has autism. As a primary provider, Rafael plays an essential role in the emotional and financial well-being of his family, especially his grandsons who depend on his presence for stability and guidance. Recently, Rafael was violently detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents outside his home in Las Vegas. This traumatic incident has left him hospitalized and in poor health, raising severe concerns for his safety and well-being. Following his arrest, Rafael's attorney has filed a motion to stay his removal from the United States.

Amidst multiple lethal and likely illegal strikes on boats in the Caribbean, Win Without War is racing to push Trump off the path toward a new endless cycle of violence and devastation. Rep. Ilhan Omar has just given us a golden opportunity to stop Trump’s needless, lawless violence by introducing a War Powers Resolution in the House. Champions in both chambers of Congress are stepping up to do their part. It’s a critical start, but it’ll take more work to rein in the Trump administration. That means it’s our turn to pick up the mantle and rally lawmakers to reassert that Congress, NOT the president, decides if and when the United States. goes to war. 

Now is a moment the Dems can leverage their position to make real change. We cannot continue to weakly complain while the Republicans burn our country to the ground. The President  is trying to take away America's Free speech rights that are embedded in the Constitution.  Trump has weaponized the FCC and it's Director to threaten and coerce broadcasters into submitting to his demands only because he doesn't like what HE hears, usually about himself. Comedians should never be the target of Presidents. The next step in the 2025 agenda could quite possibly be muzzling YOUR speech.

Tom Homan accepted a $50,000 cash bribe in an FBI sting last year, allegedly in exchange for using his influence as Trump’s border czar to help undercover FBI agents posing as businessmen win border security contracts with the government. Trump and the DOJ are now protecting Homan and intervened by closing the FBI’s criminal investigation. Democrats in Congress are demanding transparency and have launched their own investigation, demanding the DOJ release the tape showing Homan accepting the money in the sting operation.  Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Republicans in Congress have a duty to do their jobs, investigate corruption, and hold their own accountable. HBCUs have played a critical role in our nation's history. For over two centuries, HBCUs have opened doors that were closed elsewhere to Black Americans, providing them with a world-class education within the safety of community. Renowned figures like Martin Luther King Jr., Toni Morrison, Thurgood Marshall, Rosa Parks, and former Vice President Kamala Harris are all HBCU alumni, and each has had a profound impact on our country. Their contributions are proof of how essential these institutions are to America’s past, present, and future. At a time where political violence is on the rise, the Justice Department must launch a full investigation into these threats. Now is the time to make clear that intimidation, hate, and violence have no place in our country.
