MOTHERS JUSTICE MOVEMENT: Stop New Jersey Judges from forcing defenseless children to be harmed b...WE ARE PETITIONING FOR A STATEWIDE INVESTIGATION OF FAMILY COURT PRACTICES IN AN EFFORT TO STOP NEW JERSEY JUDGES FROM HARMING INNOCENT DEFENSELESS CHILDREN. New Jersey residents are being bled of our most valuable resource, the innocence of a child, and because of which, we are slowly losing our grip on the future of America. Since 1998, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has continued a lengthy investigation into adverse childhood experiences (ACE). ACE is one of the largest medical investigations ever conducted to assess associations between childhood maltreatment and later-life health and well-being. They found that a child’s exposure to certain traumas, including domestic violence, child sexual abuse, or being separated from their primary caregiving parent, resulted in more illnesses and injuries to children in childhood through adulthood, i.e., social emotional and cognitive impairment; adoption of health-risk behaviors; disease, disability and social problems; and PREMATURE DEATH. This study demonstrates how a child’s exposure to these elements are a PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUE. Yet every year, an estimated 58,000 children are court ordered into custody or unsupervised visitation with a reported abuser. Additionally, current research estimates that false allegations of sexual abuse happens less that 2% of the time, yet 85% of those children are court ordered into shared or sole custody with the parent that is raping them. Inadequately trained professionals tend to believe the myth that mothers frequently make false allegations, contrary to current research. Therefore, in thinking they have the needed expertise, family court professionals don't listen to domestic violence or child abuse evidence, experts, and they don't include current scientific research. Mothers are being forced into bankruptcy and poverty trying to protect their children, and their children are being irreparably harmed. Governor Chris Christie, House and Senate Representatives, we now have the medical research through the CDC to declare domestic violence, child abuse, and being separated from a primary attachment parent a PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUE. And the U.S. Department of Justice's Saunders report states that the STANDARD and REQUIRED domestic violence training received by judges, lawyers, and evaluators does not adequately prepare them to handle abuse cases. WE ARE PETITIONING FOR A STATEWIDE INVESTIGATION OF FAMILY COURT PRACTICES IN AN EFFORT TO STOP NEW JERSEY JUDGES FROM HARMING INNOCENT DEFENSELESS CHILDREN. We would like to see you, our leaders, echo your constituents concerns, and ensure that the HEALTH AND SAFETY OF A CHILD WILL COME FIRST IN DIVORCE AND CUSTODY LITIGATION. We thank you in advance for your support.1,522 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Patrice Lenowitz

STOP THE VA FROM LYINGWhen not under oath, there is no penalty for VA lying to Congress. This encourages VA to lie, and saves Congress the trouble of prosecuting them. This is the root cause of the culture of lies at the VA. Swear them all in, prosecute the ones who lie.1,057 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Ron Nesler

"Is It OK To Kill Cyclists?"(1) We support a law which states that all drivers be held equally responsible to all people - motorists AND cyclists. (2) We support a law that treats cyclists as weaker participants in traffic, which they are, but NOT less important than drivers. (3) We support a law that does not minimize or trivialize collisions as mere "accidents" where drivers are not held ACCOUNTABLE for damages to or deaths of cyclists. (4) We support education and public outreach to inform BOTH motorists and cyclists of the rules-of-the-road.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David H. Davis

Stop destruction of Palestinian VillageI am asking you to sign this petition to urge President Obama, Secretary of State, John Kerry and others to do everything in their power to stop the destruction of Susya, a Palestinian village in the West Bank. Demolition orders are to be executed on December 24th, 2013. I lived in Israel for eight years and traveled throughout the West Bank including the village of Susya many times. I have witnessed first-hand the oppressive and inhumane conditions imposed on Palestinians by Israeli military occupation. The confiscation of Palestinian lands to make way for Jewish settlements, destruction of homes, violence against men, women and children, and other human rights violations are not only against International law, but all laws of human decency. The residents of Susya have submitted five different versions of a master plan to Israeli authorities in an attempt to remain on their ancestral lands. Every plan has been rejected for obvious political reasons. Mr. President, on behalf of peace-loving peoples everywhere, we urge you to use all necessary means immediately to stop the demolition of yet another Palestinian village and the displacement of its residents .1,290 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Philip L. FAIR SHARE - Property Tax EquityNew York property tax is out of control - the highest in the nation & Sullivan County if one of the worst. Too many people are losing their homes due to tax foreclosures because of excessive property tax. These are homes, that have been lived in for years or even a life time, these are seniors and families trying to make ends meet, but their homes are going back to the county because they are unable to pay their property tax. The state is giving property tax exemptions to many wealthy developers in Sullivan County, along with all the religious non-profits. The tax burden (which pays for the infra-structure, townships and schools) is pushed on to the average homeowner. The excessive property tax is stopping people interested in buying here and makes it almost impossible to sell. No one is willing to buy into this situation, and this is why Sullivan County is one of the poorest in to county and has been for decades. This is shameful and clearly taxation without representation. For Sullivan County to thrive economically, we need careful planning, balanced budgets and fair-share development.17 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Diane Gibson

Thank you, Clean Money and DISCLOSE Act volunteers!Big Money special interests that dominate politics have the advantage of a Supreme Court that says money equals speech and laws that allow secret spending. But we have something even more powerful -- people like you! Clean Money and DISCLOSE Act volunteers like you have gathered and entered tens of thousands of signatures, made thousands of phone calls, given hundreds of presentations, packed the halls in Sacramento, signed targeted petitions, or made quick phone calls at key times. That's how SB 52, the California DISCLOSE Act, made it through the Senate – and how we'll beat dark money to get it through the Assembly and signed into law next year. Won't you take a moment to sign the petition thanking ALL our amazing activists? If you especially appreciated particular volunteers or activities this year, say so in the comment area. We'll share them with all our volunteers!1,263 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Trent Lange, President of the California Clean Money Campaign
