SEC Refuses GSachs/Bain Cap Massive Fraud CaseRomney's Bain DE law firm (MNAT) handled the merger of Romney's The Learning Co with Mattel in 1999. Meanwhile, MNAT's other client (Goldman Sachs) was taking eToys public in 1999 (where the stock soared to $85; but eToys received less than $20). To make sure that various State, Federal & SEC frauds were NOT investigate/prosecuted. MNAT lied to become eToys bankruptcy attorney and Paul Traub (who worked with Romney/ Michael Glazer at Stage Stores) lied to become eToys Creditors attorney. In 2005, MNAT & Traub confessed lying under oath to a chief federal justice and placing Barry Gold (who was also with Romney/Glazer at Stage Stores) - in as CEO of eToys. Then eToys was sold (almost for Free) to Bain/ Kay Bee (CEO Glazer). When Glazer paid himself $18 million and Bain $83 million before filing bankruptcy of Kay Bee - MNAT represents Bain and Traub asked to be the prosecutor. At the same time, MNAT & Barry Gold nominated Paul Traub's firm to prosecute Goldman Sachs in the N.Y. Supreme Ct. case 601805/2002. They can get away with all of this because - on August 2, 2001 - an MNAT law firm partner (Colm Connolly) became the Delaware United States Attorney who then covered up the crimes.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Laser Haas

Maryland Governor Passes Unconstitutional "Rain Tax"To petition against Maryland State Government and Governor O’Malley’s decision to impose Maryland property owners with a rain tax on our next property tax bills effective July1, 2013. There has been no transparency in the state's decision process or voter approval of the rain tax. Furthermore, these officials have exempted government-owned properties from the rain tax and enforced it on churches and nonprofits.39 of 100 SignaturesCreated by KATRINA

No Work; No PayThe sequester has brought with it many problems. One problem is furloughed government employees not getting paid when on furlough. But, Congress gets paid whether they work or not. ( They go on furlough a lot) Like all other government employees when they don't work they should not get paid.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Christa Kurvits

Florida Medicaid ExpansionFlorida's Legislature rejected Medicaid expansion and the accompanying 51 billion federal dollars that would have provided healthcare to nearly 1 million Floridians. Several studies provide estimates that the Medicaid expansion would add more than $2 billion to the Florida economy annually and add over 55,000 new private sector jobs. Leaving 100% of the federal funding on the table to be sent to other states is a mis-representation of the citizens of Florida whose tax dollars will be sent to other states.25,760 of 30,000 SignaturesCreated by Linda

No talking or texting while driving.I would like for The State of Florida to ban the usage of cell phone while driving, unless it is with a hands free device. There are too many accidents as a result of careless driving because people are talking and/or texting on their cell phones.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Leonardo

Reinstate Congress' partial repeal of STOCK (Stop Trading On Congressional Knowledge) ActA year ago, President Obama signed the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act into law at a celebratory ceremony attended by a bipartisan cast of lawmakers. The law wouldn't just outlaw trading on nonpublic information by members of Congress, the executive branch and their staffs, it would greatly expand financial disclosures and make all of the data searchable so insider trading and conflicts of interest would be easier to detect. The president signed a bill reversing big pieces of the law and it barely made print media news, There was no fanfare when the Senate and then the House passed the bill in largely empty chambers using a fast-track procedure known as unanimous consent. In the House, Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., shepherded the bill through. It was Friday afternoon at 12:52. Many members had already left for the weekend or were on their way out. The whole process took only 30 seconds. There was no debate. NPR reported that "There weren't too many members of Congress who were aware of this legislation," says Craig Holman, the government affairs lobbyist for Public Citizen. "And I suspect very, very few understood what a sweeping radical change it is to the STOCK Act." When was the last time Congress acted so quickly and so cooperatively? Stop Congress from insider trading.165 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Catherine J. MacIvor
