Petaluma Police Dept: Help the Hens at Petaluma FarmsThe Petaluma Police Department has been ignoring criminal animal cruelty at Petaluma Farms for years. This certified "humane," "cage-free" egg supplier to Whole Foods has been exposed for cramming thousands of birds inside of filthy sheds where their stressful environment leads to sickness, feather loss, and even cannibalism. Direct Action Everywhere investigated Petaluma Farms in 2014 and found dead, rotting birds among the living, and recent footage shows nothing has changed. With this recent news, over 150 activists mobilized at Petaluma Farms in July to demand the police help these suffering birds, and they said they would look into the farm and take action by September 1st. Animals are starving to death right now and the longer the Petaluma Police wait to take action, the more animals will die. We need to show them the public does not support animal cruelty and urge them to take action now.3,735 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Cassie King

Congress: No More Tax Dollars for Slaughter in YemenYemen's civil war has become the world's largest humanitarian crisis, and U.S. taxpayers are footing the bill. There's no clear stake for the United States in this conflict, but nonetheless we keep funneling millions to a conflict that has had dire consequences for civilians in Yemen.14,077 of 15,000 SignaturesCreated by Michael Winslow

Sonic styrofoam cups and plastic straws harmful to human health and environmentMy brother and I love Sonic slushes and have been visiting Sonics at least twice a week for several years. However, we have recently learned that the styrofoam cups the company uses aren't biodegradable and contain carcinogenic benzene, and the plastic straws used are polluting the world's oceans at an alarming rate. As a result, we will reluctantly forego our twice-weekly "fixes" of the company's delicious slushes until it starts serving them in paper cups like 7-Eleven, and converts to paper straws as McDonald's and Starbucks are doing. We urge others who care about human health and the environment to consider a boycott as well, and to sign this petition.55 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mark Isaacs

REMOVE MICHAEL RAMSEYPolice officers were called to a home of a young man that was having a PTSD episode only to end up being shot 12 -15 times by officers. You never want to believe it's about race but help the family understand this: https://www.facebook.com/MicMedia/videos/1998266460196122/?hc_ref=ARQTlkmXjN5OBTwPC75SwizK7koeKRkmYwlxulTP05GS7p6ryR-55WD4KY6PaZRCzY4 https://news.sky.com/video/knife-wielding-man-tasered-by-police-11325628 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/news/video-1186351/Shocking-moment-Police-taser-knife-wielding-man-Hackney.html There has to be some consistency and more training on how to handle these types of 911 calls... I respect officers in their position to get home to their families but with a little more training it can help from destroying families in the process...6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by James Johnson

Congress: Stop supporting Saudi-led war in YemenLast year in Yemen, more than 60 children between the ages of 8 and 14 were hit by an airstrike led by the Saudi coalition with American bombs. [1] The students were on a field trip. Twenty-nine people—mostly children—were killed. [2] This type of callous disregard for human lives has been at the forefront of the Saudi-led, U.S.-supported war in Yemen. All while the Department of Defense and the Trump administration take Congress's silence as tacit approval to continue participating in a conflict that was never authorized by the House or Senate. [3] Not only has the fighting caused civilian casualties, these attacks are responsible for one of the worst humanitarian crises right now, according to the U.N. Millions of people in Yemen are on the brink of starvation because of ongoing attacks by Saudi Arabia and its allies. Our tax dollars and U.S. bombs are contributing to this unnecessary ongoing conflict. This can't continue to happen on our watch. Most recently, the Senate passed the Yemen War Powers resolution to bring this conflict to an end. It's time for the House to do the same. Tell them what you know: The U.S. is supporting a coalition that is bombing children in Yemen, and that support must end now. Children should have the ability to be children no matter where they are in the world. The reckless actions of our government and Saudi Arabia shouldn't take that away. Stop the war. Save the kids.
