Stop the removal of children from their parentsImmigration policy needs to reflect American values and, more importantly, Human Rights. Taking children away from their parents is inhumane. There is no reason to do this except cruelty and surely to GOD we are a better country than this. When there is a reckoning for US policies like this, every one of us should be able to say "I didn't approve of it, and I did something about it; I told my representatives I wanted this to stop immediately."11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ann Gushurst

Legalize Marijuana-Fire RosensteinThe opioid epidemic is plaguing our country. Many doctors are scared to prescribe pain medications because of the DEA. Our healthcare should be more of a concern than unfounded accusations.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rick Abraham

Reform against School-to-Prison-Pipeline PhenomenaThe School-to-Prison-Pipeline is a phenomena that has occurred in a span of over 30 in the United States education system. In part brought upon by the "zero-tolerance" policy toward students that need help, and are instead handled by the justice system and its law enforcement. I think a lot of us have witnessed or been affected by how the education system handles disruptive students. Some are suspended, some sent to juvenile detention, and others are tried as adults. I've seen with my own eyes that most of the students that come back after being exiled from their education do not have a positive experience or outcome. We want real help for our friends and family, the people within this school system should no longer be cast aside.62 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Raquel Herrera

Preserve Recreational Access to Smitty's CoveThe Alaska Railroad has been attempting to close Depot Road and remove Whittier Manor, to build more railroad tracks in the area of Smitty's Cove. If successful, the existing road access to Smitty's Cove would become Alaska Railroad Property, who has repeatedly stated they intend to fence off this area and prevent access by recreational users. If access to Smitty's Cove is lost or restricted, the recreational users and citizens of Whittier will lose one of the two remaining access points into Prince William Sound (the other being at the head of the bay). Smitty's Cove is used by a variety of users not otherwise well-served by existing facilities, especially kayakers and scuba divers. Smitty's Cove is home to one of the only boat ramps in Whittier suitable for launching a kayak, and is the primary training dive site used by scuba instructors and dive shops in the Anchorage area.170 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Project Baseline: Smitty's Cove

Tell "Watts The Safeword" Massage isn't sex. This Youtube Channel has a reputation for good, accurate information (with a track record to support that). Their spreading this detrimental misinformation will only lead to more massage therapists being sexually harassed by their clients. Please help petition them to edit " WHAT IS SESTA /FOSTA?!" to no longer include massage therapists in the list of sex workers.12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Aiden Caraway

Get the NRA off the Board of America's Largest Gun MakerWe have an opportunity to push back on the NRA and to create change at Sturm Ruger — America’s largest gun manufacturer and maker of an AR-15 style rifle similar to the one used to kill 17 people in Parkland. Instead of following the lead of large retailers and banks now working to stem gun violence, Sturm Ruger has doubled down in opposing tighter gun regulation, using rhetoric you’d expect from the NRA. Sandra Froman has been an NRA leader for 26 years and has been openly hostile to any efforts to reform the gun industry. When gun maker Smith & Wesson supported reforms during the Clinton administration, Froman vigorously supported the NRA’s nearly successful effort to put the company out of business. She has no business being on Sturm Ruger’s board. If you have a 401k or otherwise have investments through companies like BlackRock or Vanguard (which together own more than 25% of Ruger stock), your voice is extremely important. Because of you, they have a seat at the table on May 9th, at Sturm Ruger’s shareholder meeting where they will vote on whether Froman — and the NRA — should continue sitting on the company’s board. Even if you're not an investor, your voice still matters. Major fund managers want to be seen as responsible companies, especially in light of events like Parkland which makes it impossible for them to ignore the voices of everyday people whether they're customers or not. Please join us in calling on BlackRock, Vanguard, and other fund managers to do their part to send a message that Sandra Froman — and the NRA — should not have a voice on the Sturm Ruger board.267 of 300 SignaturesCreated by James Rucker

Tell Congress it's time to decriminalize marijuanaSchumer's actions demonstrate just how far public opinion on marijuana policy has come. He’s one of the nation's top Democrats and for years has opposed legalization efforts. There’s never been more momentum to push for sensible federal marijuana laws than there is right now. Under current federal scheduling, marijuana is a Schedule 1 drug — that means the federal government considers it just as dangerous as heroin. Schumer's proposal would change this and bring federal policy in line with public opinion. Marijuana is already legal for medical use in 29 states and for adult recreational use in nine plus Washington, D.C. A Gallup survey from October showed 64% of Americans believe marijuana should be legal and that a majority of Republicans do as well. Most importantly, federal marijuana reform is needed as a key component of sentencing and criminal justice reform. We need to address the racial disparities in our marijuana and drug law enforcement and encourage states to do the same because that’s where most marijuana arrests and jailings are happening. Our project, Nation of Second Chances, seeks to humanize those who spent decades in prison for nonviolent drug offenses, by telling the stories of those freed by President Obama's historic clemency initiative. Our hope is that these stories will change minds and hearts by demonstrating the needless hardships these people and their families endured, and the wonderful things they’re accomplishing with new found freedom." Let's show Congress that the time for reform is now. Please sign our petition calling on Congress to decriminalize marijuana.28,832 of 30,000 SignaturesCreated by Jonathan Perri, Nation of Second Chances

REMOVE Cook County from the B2B ProposalWe hope to avoid the possible environmental degradation from increased high impact OHV traffic. These revered places of nature, wildlife, natural solitude, and beauty are not intended for and cannot withstand increased high impact motorized recreation. Counties and the Grand Portage Reservation have opposed the proposal and Clearwater County has an official Resolution opposing the B2B sent to the DNR, their representatives and senator. Please note your geographic connection to Cook County, if you note down another location. Thank you for your support and for showing up to join our cause !200 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Denny FitzPatrick
