The whole country has been affected by it.. by not allowing VP Gore and Sec. of State Clinton to officially win their legitimate title. We've been robbed twice in the modern era. Time to put a stop to it.

The United States cannot afford a Government shutdown that will harm services to Americans, and potentially endanger our country.

At a campaign rally in Phoenix, AZ President Trump proclaimed, "Build that wall," he said. "Now, the obstructionist Democrats would like us not to do it. But believe me, if we have to close down our government, we’re building that wall." Trump campaigned on the promise that he would compel Mexico to pay for his Border Wall. Now that he has clearly failed to secure this funding from Mexico, he is holding his own government hostage and threatening to allow the government to shutdown if funding for the Border Wall is not approved. The last government shutdown took place in October 2013. The shutdown lasted 16 days and reportedly cost the US economy several billion dollars in lost wages, revenue and productivity. Do not allow President Trump to use the threat of a government shutdown to bully Congress into approving $1.6B for the unpopular Border Wall. Government spending bills are not intended to make up for the failed promises of our president. It's not enough to fund fixes for these issues if there's no one trained to fix them. Providing funding for appropriate training will also ultimately boost the economy by giving more career opportunities to those who need it most.

Some of us in America are so sick from this daily horror since our 2016 elections. Journalists can help in so many ways and they do today. But Trump in simply a con man. He knows how to play people to get what he wants and it really is first and foremost to get his name in print. To be talked about. I grew up in South Jersey and it has always been about that for him. Nothing's changed he's just grown into a monster. Bring him down a peg or two. Don't say or print his name. But keep up the wonderful journalism out there. We need you and thank you!

I believe that if President Trump starts privatizing federal land or allowing states to manage them, we will lose them forever and never get them back. As our population grows, the importance of these lands increases. How will we teach future generations the value of nature and the beauty of natural spaces?

Trump suggested he may pardon Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio, the Arizona sheriff just convicted of criminal contempt for violating a court order on racial profiling. A pardon of Arpaio wouldn't just be a confirmation of Trump's bigotry and contempt for the rule of law. It would also be an affront to Americans everywhere who believe in justice and civil liberties. Arpaio is scheduled to be sentenced on October 5th. We need to raise our voices now. Add your name to demand Arpaio face justice.

Since it's conception, USAG (USA Gymnastics) has put the welfare of its athletes second to competition results and revenues. Failure from the board of directors and the administration to protect their athletes can no longer be tolerated. Continued claims of ignorance and the willingness to ignore allegations of misconduct in all forms has been encouraged by the board and administration for far too long. Fans, athletes, coaches, and sports enthusiasts have had enough. A true culture change must happen within USA Gymnastics and the resignation of Steve Penny does not go far enough. We are demanding the removal of board chairman Paul Parilla, vice chairman Jay Binder and treasurer Bitsy Kelley to begin the restructuring and rebuilding of a board that puts the welfare of its members ahead of personal gains.

We are children's advocates deeply concerned about the political attacks on children, people with disabilities, low-income people, seniors and minorities. When Congress tried to dismantle the ACA, the American people stood up and put a stop to it. The Trump Administration must get the message. #ProtectOurCare
