PROPOSED : A state lottery to raise money JUST for schools. There should be no question that funding is available for our children's education. Once again, cutbacks threaten education. Always. That should not be the case.

Our Birmingham School Board has held this city back for decades and fails to support the academic and budgetary reforms of our new Superintendent of Education. He favors academics while some long-term members favor athletics. Our city is too poor for more expenses anywhere but in academics for our children. The former Superintendent was indicted for actions while serving, and the Board does not propely support our new one. A surprise meeting to fire him was held and the old school members are threatened by his expertise and professionalism. End the days of back-slapping on Birmingham's School Board, and allow recalls of its members today. Thank you so much.

When NC public school staff /SW can violate the rights of NC public school students and families and their is no provision for student or parent to file a complaint, because the SW is liscenced by DPI which supplies the school legal assistance and the only way a complaint can be filed is by the principal to DPI a system of structured accountability for all public school staff if NC public schools has disciplinary procedures for the students now its time for the NC public school staff.

Symphony orchestras around the US are deteriorating due to smaller ticket sales, dwindling audiences, and less support from Foundations and the Government. Plus there have been union and management issues tearing apart orchestras that have been around for decades. We are calling on stronger Foundation and Corporate support, funds from individuals to spark new ideas that will attract younger and larger audiences.

Goverment attempting to take money from retired educators and force current educators to lose dollars that they have been promised upon retirement.

Since our daily lives move much faster now than in the 50s and parents seem to be to busy, we need to teach our youngsters how to make good decisions and the consequences of making bad decisions.

This is a petition to keep South Huntington FULL DAY kindergarten. With the heavy budget cuts necessary for this coming school year, the Board of the SHUFSD as opted to cut Kindgergarten to a half day.

When politicians will progress from immature, infantile street-dog behavior of to day? To mature mentality of reaching to the next stage of sportive, sincere, disciplined, dedicated and decent member of the grown up age? We the ordinary citizens have to take this burning problem in our solid hands, by refusing to listen, read and support from such candidates? But how? By signing this petition that we the people of free world, will not tolerate this stupid, imbecile behavior and will reject them in election/selection totally irrespective of the party they belong and will propagate this message to our family,friends and all, so they are absolutely thown out of the ring forever in this Election and in future too and circulate their names and send this petition.

Congress doubled the percentage rate on student loans. If you are a student or a parent of a student, and have to take loans out for education, this affects you! I am calling on everyone to stand up and stop the interest raise on student loans.

Students of many private colleges may have their Cal Grant reduce by the Governor of California in the upcoming budget cut, but Governor I am concern about students' future and the opportunities to achieve a good education at the University of Redlands and other universities. Please do not deprive them of what will make this nation a productive and progressive place.

Autistic children improve significantly, when ealy education is available. It is expensive, and should remain paid for by Medicaid, as the results reduce amount of care needed the rest of their lives.
