For Our Health's Sake: Ban Fracking in PennsylvaniaDespite the fracking industry's assurances that their processes are completely safe, fracking fluid is now showing up in drinking water in Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Fracking companies can only be trusted to protect their bottom line. The health of our citizens should ALWAYS take precedence over corporate profits. It's time our legislators acted accordingly.41 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Roy Trierweiler

HO'OPAU HO'OPILIWe are a small island that depends too much on imported food when we have prime agricultural-land that can provide us fresh and locally-grown fruits and vegetables, affording our Island O'ahu to be self-sustainable! Also, we're against the obvious effects of traffic and pollution with this development because with 11,000 plus homes comes tens of thousands of more cars! Extend and Improve Washington's Renewable Energy Cost Recovery ProgramEstablished in 2005, the Washington Renewable Energy Cost Recovery Program (CRP) provides an annual payment for electricity from qualifying wind and solar electric systems – as currently enacted – until June 2020. However, this 5 year window is not sufficient so it is critical that legislation be enacted this session to extend and improve the incentive program to continue building Washington's local renewable energy infrastructure. Distributed wind, solar and other local renewable energy technologies are important emerging sources of distributed generation, jobs, and wealth for Washingtonians. Please contact your legislators and ask them to strengthen and extend the CRP! Note: If appropriate, please include your company name in the petition sign-on's comment field.101 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Local Energy Alliance of Washington

Tell NMFS: No More Funny StuffWhat our whales already face is staggering, record numbers of crab pot entanglements, seismic and sonar testing, ship strikes and more. Issuing permits to drown them as well must no longer be tolerated. Tell NMFS to live up to their initials: No More Funny Stuff! These poor kids have no future with the resources we're using now; we need to put mass production in all renewable resources NOW. Exploding oil train protections must go furtherThe U.S. Department of Transportation (US DOT) just announced new oil train regulations—but they won’t go nearly far enough to protect us. After a year filled with numerous oil train derailments—including an explosive accident in West Virginia that burned for days—this new proposal leaves simple solutions on the table and it will take years for their proposed regulations to fully kick in. For example, in the time it will take for a new, safer rail cars to become the norm under this proposal, the US DOT expects there will be TWENTY more oil train accidents. We cannot allow more oil train disasters because of weak safety standards.538 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Adam Garber

K.I.S.S. (It's our future)I am tired of listening to everyone try and take credit or to deflect blame. It is time to put up or shut up and just get it done. Global warming is bad - I don't care what caused it, we need to figure out how to fix it.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ron Fitzherbert

Save our longest untamed river, the Greenbrier!I am starting this petition because the proposed pipeline will destroy some of the most beautiful parts of West Virginia and threaten our watershed area and national forest. It personally affects me because the proposed pipeline crosses my land and a compressor station is located just over a half mile from my property. However, even if it did not cross my land I would stand in opposition to the expansion of nonrenewable energy and the environmental damage it causes.1,671 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Ronald Tobey

Allow Free Opt Out for Smart Meters in TexasI am a physician who practices environmental medicine and have seen many people who are becoming ill and electrically sensitive after a smart meter was installed on their home. The thousands of scientific studies showing harmful effects from this type of radiation are not being considered by the FCC for safe limits of exposure. It has been declared a carcinogen by the World Health Organization and the International Agency for Research on Cancer384 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Stephanie McCarter
