my petition is about banning water bottles that take so much energy from our oil and our fossil fuels. my ban would help lower prices on gasoline and other petroleum by products. this has personally effected me by having budget cuts to my moms spending since her car take over 100$ to fill up her SUV. water bottles also pollute our earth and recycling dosent even happen only 10% of all water bottles are recycled most of all of the water bottles go to a mountain in india as you can clearly see that water bottles are a big waste.

In this country the Fossil Fuel industry has a monopoly and is heavily subsidized by the tax payer. This petition is not against Big Oil. This petition calls for the same dollar amount of Tax Subsidies, Credits and Tax Breaks to be given to the RENEWABLE ENERGY SECTOR as Big Oil gets (4-6 Billion dollars per year for the last 30 years) OR END SUBSIDIES FOR THE FOSSIL FUEL INDUSTRY ENTIRELY SO THE RENEWABLE ENERGY SECTOR CAN COMPETE ON A LEVEL CAPITALISTIC PLAYING FIELD. The Integrative Resource Plans filed by utilities across North Carolina, continues increased production of dirty coal, dangerous gas and risky nuclear power. The 20 year plans DO NOT expand solar, wind, energy efficiency and energy conservation. We need a clean energy future and must have accessible public hearings in the western part of our state to voice our demands.

The Rocky Mountain Front in Montana is one most ecologically rich and pristine areas left in the lower 48 states; from the Blackfeet Indian Reservation and Glacier National Park south to Augusta, Montana. This pristine landscape and some of the highest water and air quality in the nation is currently threatened by indiscriminate oil and gas drilling using unregulated hydraulic fracturing; which involves the use of highly toxic chemicals and large quantities of precious surface and ground water for drilling. Chemicals such as benzyl chloride, benzene, toulene and many others and unregulated placement of well pads near rivers, lakes, streams and rural residences pose a direct threat to the health of people and environment. We petition a ban on fracking on the Rocky Mountain Front, Montana.

Hydraulic Fracturing is an issue going on all around the nation. Shale gas is the next best thing for America relieving us of our dependence on foreign oil. But to do so by trampling the health of the citizens is NOT okay! We have a fundamental right to clean air and water. We have a right not to be burdened by earthquakes cause by the fracturing of underground shale! We deserve to be free from harmful chemicals and radiation in our own drinking water. I know people who have been personally affected by it and when I heard it would start in Ohio, I became very scared. I have done a lot of research on the topic including one on why do so is unethical. It pains me to read about what has happened to people. The health of the citizens needs to come above natural gas.
