Amazon Rain Forest TreatyThe Disappearing Rainforests We are losing Earth's greatest biological treasures just as we are beginning to appreciate their true value. Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth's land surface; now they cover a mere 6% and experts estimate that the last remaining rainforests could be consumed in less than 40 years. One and one-half acres of rainforest are lost every second with tragic consequences for both developing and industrial countries. Due to human activities, and being held hostage by cultural consumerism. We have failed to look at the most important parts of our forests. Terrains, animals, and trees are being killed in order to sustain a high demand for livestock and animal agriculture. Let us all preserve and highlight the importance of sustaining clean air and water for our environment, this is no longer political or religious debates but it is our alienate rights for breathable and livable air. I’m not quite certain the level of threat that there will be a time when the Amazon Rain Forests no longer exists, but I know animal agriculture is rising due to the high supply and demand for food. If this treaty is placed in action in order to band humans from organizing any type of profit and only allowing visitation for scientific studies or educational purposes, we have a chance to preserve the forests not only for our future but our children's future.59 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Vila Halim

Tell Kroger: Stop selling food grown with toxic pesticides NOW!Kroger is still selling food grown with bee-killing neonicotinoids and other pesticides. These chemicals are linked to unsustainable bee die-offs that threaten our entire food system. The first step to shifting the entire grocery sector away from killing bees is convincing Kroger, the second largest food retailer in the US, to stop selling food grown with toxic pesticides. We need YOU to help make that happen!2,294 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Peter Stocker

Tell the Department of the Interior: Don't let Trump destroy Bears Ears!Donald Trump is trying to hand over Bears Ears National Monument to the mining industry. He’s working to strip protections from more than 85% of the monument’s land. This is the largest rollback of protection for our public lands in history. The Department of the Interior is seeking public input on this plan. So we need you to speak up NOW and stop it!1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Peter Stocker

Tell the DRBC: we need a FULL ban on frackingThe Delaware River Basin provides clean drinking water for millions of people in Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey and Delaware. Last December the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) put forth new rules for a half-measure fracking ban that leaves the door open for fracking waste to enter the watershed, and allows drilling companies to take water for their own uses. The DRBC's draft fracking ban regulations are unacceptable, and definitely not up to our standards for a fracking ban. Earlier this year when the DRBC held a series of public hearings, Food & Water Watch and allies held rallies calling on the four governors in the Basin states (Cuomo, Carney, Wolf and Murphy) to support the strongest possible ban on fracking — and not settle for anything less! Now, we need to keep this momentum going and show the Governors that we will fight until the end to protect our most precious water sources, and we need them to do the same.87 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Miranda Carter, Food & Water Watch

Get Scott Pruitt Out of the EPAPruitt has worked to derail more environmental safeguards in a shorter period of time than ever before in EPA’s 47-year history—all while spending close to $43,000 of taxpayer money to ensure nobody at EPA overhears his conversation with the President or the oil and gas industry executive he routinely hosts in his office. It's time to get him out of the EPA.166 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Environmental Defense Action Fund

Asking ABTA to have a Vote on the 2018 Bag limitsThe ABTA has Taken a stance to NOT make a Recommendation on the BAG LIMIT Issue for June 1st. As Powers that Be will not be happy with the outcome of a Majority Vote. Its an Open Access Fishery and it should be regulated for All and not the Few. Last Season it was so critical for us to have a Vote yet this year after an awful and marginally profitable 2017 summer season it is thought to have no vote at all? But Increased Quota. Why is this? Fall out from boats that have entered the General Category in recent years may fall back into the Harpoon Category if bag limits are reduced, thus increasing pressure on the quota of the Harpoon Category. The ABTA is saying that it is best to not make a Recommendation and that regardless if a recommendation was made that the Agency NMFS will not listen to them. Why did the Agency NMFS listen and put forth the outcome of a Majority Vote last season but allegedly doesn't care this year? Why might this be? Could it be that know that by not taking a vote and by not making a bag limit suggestion that the Inner Circle will be able to achieve their Agenda regardless? By Not Making a recommendation from a majority vote of the permit holders within the fishery the Agency NMFS will default to a 3/4/5 fish bag limit as NMFS are fisheries managers with a job to allow practices and adjustments to make sure the quota gets filled. So that it is viewed that they managed the fishery correctly They are already Paid by our Tax Dollars, They are not concerned with what the fisherman actually make in proceeds from the fishery Yet Management of the fishery to capitalize on the financial aspect of the fishery as well as achieving the quota is possible and that is what the ABTA is for to protect our fishery, fisherman, resource, and push the fishery so that all that part take in the commercial aspect of the fishery are given the best possible situation to feed their family from an Open Access Commercial Fishery. We all Pay a portion of our fish to the ABTA, Yet why don't they care what the Majority wants?159 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Duffy Willson

Tell the City of St. Cloud, FL. No to the Annexation and Rezoning of 5150 Starline Dr, St. Cloud,...Our rural neighborhood, a designated rural enclave in the county, would be broken by the annexation and rezoning of one of the parcels, to allow what is called "Mixed Use" development. Mixed Use would allow the building of up to 25 homes per acre, commercial retail, and as the current concept plan presented, a 4 lane connector onto our single lane improved dirt road as the main access to the nearest main road. This connector would have the potential of adding an additional 2000 vehicles at the main drive times, from the 6 neighborhoods it would service. Because of this, we the residents of Star Line Estates and outside supporters do not agree with the annexation and future land use and zoning change requested by Center Lake Properties. 5150 Star Line Dr (Legal Description- Starline Estates Unit 2 PB 2 Pg 220 Lot 19) is located in an Osceola County rural enclave called Starline Estates with a current zoning of agricultural/conservation. The request to annex this one lot into the city and change the future land use and zoning to mixed use is not compatible with the surrounding properties or to the neighborhood. An annexation of lot 19 into the City would ruin the character of the rural enclave. All lots, including lot 19, within Star Line Estates, are subject to Deed restrictions recorded in Osceola County records book 448 page 567. The requested annexation followed by a change to the zoning and future land use is NOT compatible with these restrictions. The use of lot 19 by any means other than what is specified in the deed restrictions would be detrimental to our quiet rural way of life.103 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Robert Dalton

Wonderful: Stop Oil Wastewater Irrigation Now!Our country's multi-billion dollar food industry is allowing that our produce is used by destructive oil companies like Chevron as a disposal site for their oil wastewater. Water samples have determined that the wastewater contains toxic chemicals, some that are linked to cancer and reproductive harm. Known for nationally sold brands like POM Wonderful, Wonderful Pistachios, and Halos mandarins, Wonderful has the political influence to stop this!4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Miranda Carter, Food & Water Watch
