Ethics Committee: Dismiss Scott Pruitt as EPA DirectorMr Pruitt has shown complete dismissal and arrogance in the job he has accepted in representing ALL of the citizens of our country, not just special interest factions. He is directly impacting my personal right, as well as EVERY PERSON IN THE USA who is concerned about their personal health and welfare. He has crossed 'the line in the sand'.19 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Bernadette Preszler

Lake Erie's Shoreline Belongs to Nature and to the CommunityWe live beside one of the Great Lakes, but we are separated from it for historic reasons which we should counteract for the good of the lake, the public, and the natural world we inhabit.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sheila Friedman

More Recycling Bins on USC CampusWe feel strongly that USC should set an example of what proper recycling hygiene looks like. It starts with appropriate infrastructure, and we can build up from there with new, creative innovations and solutions.347 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Carter Boisfontaine

No Compressor StationSpectra Energy / Enbridge plans to build a 7,700-horsepower Fracked-Gas Compressor Station adjacent to the brand new Fore River Bridge in North Weymouth. The Weymouth Compressor Station would be built in the most densely populated location ever in the United States. Compressors are usually built in rural areas given their environmental, health, and safety risks. Compressors pose a serious health risk, especially when in such close proximity to a dense residential area. This proposed compressor station will create noise, pollution and odor problems that will affect residents in surrounding areas and all along the South Shore. There is also a history of catastrophic accidents at similar compressors that could paralyze traffic, devastate our waterfront, and put residents at very serious risk. There is no public vote and limited public input in this process, so it is important for everyone to join the ongoing opposition to ensure that our voices are heard. Join us as we ask our Local, State, and Federal governments and regulatory agencies to put a stop to this foolish and dangerous idea.755 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Lesley Acton

Demand that pulp & paper giant APP keep its promisesI have recently learned of APP’s links to PT BRS in Bangka Belitung and of APP’s intention to bring the company on as a supplier. I am calling on APP to implement its policies and respect the rights and demands of the people of Bangka Belitung who have rejected pulp and paper plantations on their traditionally owned land.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rainforest Action Network

Bring Captive Orca Whales at SeaWorld Back to the WildI'm starting this petition because when I was younger, I bought the ticket to support their harming of these extraordinary creatures, and now I'd like to return it for a better deal. I would like to return it for their lives in the wild where we all know they want and deserve to be.18 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Amy Hyder

University of Hawaii at Manoa campus Ban on Plastic StrawsAs an institution which prides itself on it’s progressive and environmentally conscious ideology, it’s time for the University of Hawaii at Manoa to step up and eliminate single use plastic straws from campus. If 17,600 undergraduate and graduate students at University of Hawaii at Manoa, can publicly make this one simple change in their campus life, it will encourage other schools as well as small and large businesses to also make the change.1,162 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Surfrider UH

Switch Control of Division of Fish/Wildlife to Dept. of Ag.Everyone in the State of New Jersey recognizes that Deer population has grown out of control. Not only does the high deer population adversely affect local farmers and agriculture, they also destroy landscaping, pose a health hazard with the growth of Lyme and other deer tick borne diseases as well as cause thousands of accidents on our roads every year. By moving the Division of Fish and Wildlife from the Department of Environmental Protection to the Department of Agriculture, ultimate control will be vested in a Department that understands the harm that the mismanagement of NewJersey Wildlife causes each year. Perhaps more importantly, this move will also put the ultimate control of the management of over 350,000 acres of open space in New Jersey into an agency that recognizes the importance of management of that open space for the benefit of all people, not just a limited number of hunters. Currently every year more and more farm land is taken out of active farming and allowed to grow up into brush and weeds by the Division of Fish and Wildlife.9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mary Mott-Kocsis

Fossil Fuel Free Investment Option for Oregon SavesClimate change is the most important issue of our time. We have to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions substantially. Divesting from fossil fuels is a critical tool in this effort. Oregon Saves is a tremendous opportunity for workers without employer-sponsored retirement programs to save for retirement. Oregon Saves impacts about 100,000 employers. We must have a fossil fuel-free investment option for those workers so their retirement funds aren’t working against the future of our planet. Please sign and share this petition to help give Oregon workers the opportunity for a retirement investment that complements our climate goals.84 of 100 SignaturesCreated by James Barber

Cost benefit analysis needed before any further investment in and life extension of the San Juan ...According to PNM's own analysis, the San Juan Generating Station is not the most cost-effective resource option for New Mexicans. The fire and explosion in March have left Unit 1 inoperable. Before ANY money is spent on repairing the Unit, alternatives should be explored and a cost/benefit analysis should be provided to the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission and the public.174 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Bianca Sopoci-Belknap
