FERC, We Demand Reform! My organization is part of a network of more than 200 organizations fighting pipelines and infrastructure have been calling on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and Congress to address abuse of its power to review natural gas pipeline projects. Shortly after his confirmation last year, FERC Chairman Kevin McIntyre announced that the Commission would be reviewing is processes, but we fear it will be a dog and pony show. In fact, the only change they've made to their process so far is to make it even harder for the public to participate by refusing to accept interventions that are received after the short window of opportunity to file one. We sent out the following message, along with the summary of our points that is the petition we're asking you to sign now, as a sign on letter. Here's how we introduced the letter: Sign on to tell FERC, that it's time... Time for FERC to Represent People over Pipelines: Implementing a Public Interest Pipeline Review Process, Giving Proper Priority to People, Environment, Climate and Future Generations. Tell Your New Jersey Lawmakers: Vote Yes for Solar! Two bills in the New Jersey legislature would drive bold new commitments to solar power for individuals, communities and utilities in the state. A3723 in the Assembly and S2314 in the Senate would create new opportunities for families and businesses across the state to go solar and save, helping low-income families and renters to participate in and access the benefits of New Jersey’s new energy economy. These bills would commit New Jersey to getting half of its electricity from renewable sources like solar power by 2030, for more local jobs, more consumer energy choice, and more resilient communities across the Garden State. Tell your lawmakers: Vote YES for solar on upcoming bills scheduled to head to the floor of the Senate and House the week of April 12, 2018!24 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Pari Kasotia

Amazon Rain Forest TreatyThe Disappearing Rainforests We are losing Earth's greatest biological treasures just as we are beginning to appreciate their true value. Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth's land surface; now they cover a mere 6% and experts estimate that the last remaining rainforests could be consumed in less than 40 years. One and one-half acres of rainforest are lost every second with tragic consequences for both developing and industrial countries. Due to human activities, and being held hostage by cultural consumerism. We have failed to look at the most important parts of our forests. Terrains, animals, and trees are being killed in order to sustain a high demand for livestock and animal agriculture. Let us all preserve and highlight the importance of sustaining clean air and water for our environment, this is no longer political or religious debates but it is our alienate rights for breathable and livable air. I’m not quite certain the level of threat that there will be a time when the Amazon Rain Forests no longer exists, but I know animal agriculture is rising due to the high supply and demand for food. If this treaty is placed in action in order to band humans from organizing any type of profit and only allowing visitation for scientific studies or educational purposes, we have a chance to preserve the forests not only for our future but our children's future.60 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Vila Halim

Tell Kroger: Stop selling food grown with toxic pesticides NOW!Kroger is still selling food grown with bee-killing neonicotinoids and other pesticides. These chemicals are linked to unsustainable bee die-offs that threaten our entire food system. The first step to shifting the entire grocery sector away from killing bees is convincing Kroger, the second largest food retailer in the US, to stop selling food grown with toxic pesticides. We need YOU to help make that happen!2,293 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Peter Stocker

Tell the Department of the Interior: Don't let Trump destroy Bears Ears!Donald Trump is trying to hand over Bears Ears National Monument to the mining industry. He’s working to strip protections from more than 85% of the monument’s land. This is the largest rollback of protection for our public lands in history. The Department of the Interior is seeking public input on this plan. So we need you to speak up NOW and stop it!1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Peter Stocker

Tell the DRBC: we need a FULL ban on frackingThe Delaware River Basin provides clean drinking water for millions of people in Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey and Delaware. Last December the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) put forth new rules for a half-measure fracking ban that leaves the door open for fracking waste to enter the watershed, and allows drilling companies to take water for their own uses. The DRBC's draft fracking ban regulations are unacceptable, and definitely not up to our standards for a fracking ban. Earlier this year when the DRBC held a series of public hearings, Food & Water Watch and allies held rallies calling on the four governors in the Basin states (Cuomo, Carney, Wolf and Murphy) to support the strongest possible ban on fracking — and not settle for anything less! Now, we need to keep this momentum going and show the Governors that we will fight until the end to protect our most precious water sources, and we need them to do the same.87 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Miranda Carter, Food & Water Watch

Get Scott Pruitt Out of the EPAPruitt has worked to derail more environmental safeguards in a shorter period of time than ever before in EPA’s 47-year history—all while spending close to $43,000 of taxpayer money to ensure nobody at EPA overhears his conversation with the President or the oil and gas industry executive he routinely hosts in his office. It's time to get him out of the EPA.166 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Environmental Defense Action Fund

Asking ABTA to have a Vote on the 2018 Bag limitsThe ABTA has Taken a stance to NOT make a Recommendation on the BAG LIMIT Issue for June 1st. As Powers that Be will not be happy with the outcome of a Majority Vote. Its an Open Access Fishery and it should be regulated for All and not the Few. Last Season it was so critical for us to have a Vote yet this year after an awful and marginally profitable 2017 summer season it is thought to have no vote at all? But Increased Quota. Why is this? Fall out from boats that have entered the General Category in recent years may fall back into the Harpoon Category if bag limits are reduced, thus increasing pressure on the quota of the Harpoon Category. The ABTA is saying that it is best to not make a Recommendation and that regardless if a recommendation was made that the Agency NMFS will not listen to them. Why did the Agency NMFS listen and put forth the outcome of a Majority Vote last season but allegedly doesn't care this year? Why might this be? Could it be that know that by not taking a vote and by not making a bag limit suggestion that the Inner Circle will be able to achieve their Agenda regardless? By Not Making a recommendation from a majority vote of the permit holders within the fishery the Agency NMFS will default to a 3/4/5 fish bag limit as NMFS are fisheries managers with a job to allow practices and adjustments to make sure the quota gets filled. So that it is viewed that they managed the fishery correctly They are already Paid by our Tax Dollars, They are not concerned with what the fisherman actually make in proceeds from the fishery Yet Management of the fishery to capitalize on the financial aspect of the fishery as well as achieving the quota is possible and that is what the ABTA is for to protect our fishery, fisherman, resource, and push the fishery so that all that part take in the commercial aspect of the fishery are given the best possible situation to feed their family from an Open Access Commercial Fishery. We all Pay a portion of our fish to the ABTA, Yet why don't they care what the Majority wants?159 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Duffy Willson
