• Brice For President 2016
We need change in America. Washington needs an overhaul. We are feeding and housing people in and from other countries while we leave our own hungry on the streets. Enough is enough. Let's let Washington know that we are fed up. I will never make it Washington. But please sign my petition so that I can send it to the powers that be. We are broke because we are trying to spread democracy to countries that hate us. We all have enough debt. This must end!

  • Grow America, shift from "defense" adventures.
Freedom of the press and speech means that ACTs (American Citizen Taxpayers) are entitled to know the full facts concerning our military (and support, roughly as large), "defense" , and United Nations duplication. We don't. Assume that up to 50% of our total military/defense and foreign aid budget was shifted toward growing a stronger nation over the next five years or so?

  • Support Democracy in Paraguay
From 1954 to 1989, Paraguay suffered one of the longest dictatorships in the history of the Americas. Even after the dictatorship, Paraguayans continued to vote in presidents of the same political party -- the Colorado party -- many out of fear of vengeance if they did not. Finally in 2008, the Paraguayan population, in free, democratic elections, voted in a president from a different party for the first time. On June 22, 2012 this president was forced out of his government by Congress and replaced by the vice-president from an opposing party in what many governments have recognized as a non-violent coup. Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Argentina, Ecuador, and Mexico have suspended diplomatic ties with the coup leaders, but, up until now, the United States government has remained neutral. The possibility that the U.S. recognize the coup is very dangerous, as it would legitimize illegally removing democratically elected officials from the government and would weaken the possibility of continued democracy in Paraguay. Please urge the U.S. Congress and State Department to not recognize the coup's leadership and to make a public statement supporting legitimate democracy in Paraguay!

  • Repeal Citizens United
Please tell our elected officials that Citizens United is anti-Democratic and dangerous to our Republic. Since corporations are controlled by who owns the stakes in the company, this opens up the possibility and probability of foreign influence over our internal politics by funding candidates through a foreign power's investments in U.S. based companies. It's a National Security threat.

  • Prevent War with Iran
Diplomacy remains the best option to resolve the current conflict with Iran. A military strike by Israel represents a threat to our security greater than that posed by Iran's alleged nuclear weapons program. Help me generate thousands of signatures over the next two weeks to tell President Obama that another war isn't what this country needs!

  • Boko Haram should be designated FTO
Killing and terrorizing innocent citizens in al qaida-like fashion is classical terrorism. There should be no double standards.

  • Support Democracy in the Holy Land!
In the past year and a half, we've seen remarkable developments in the Middle East, as the people rose up and demanded civil and human rights. Yet our own foreign policy has often failed to support those brave people, particularly in Israel/Palestine.

  • Reject "Terrorist" Designation for Boko Haram
The "Boko Haram Terrorist Designation Act" was introduced in the U.S. Congress in May. It would require the U.S. Secretary of State to present a report to Congress on whether or not to designate Boko Haram in Nigeria as a "Foreign Terrorist Organization" We urge rejection of such a designation. It would be counterproductive, increasing rather than decreasing the threat from Boko Haram. And it would have other far-reaching negative consequences for both Americans and Nigerians. Update - June 21, 2012 Reuters article today says U.S. designated three Boko Haram leaders as "terrorists." - first step on a road in the wrong direction. Targeting individuals instead of dealing with structural problems. Please sign the petition now.

  • No War on Syria
The US is pushing for yet another war of choice, this time in Syria, with the encouragement of powerful lobbies. Only we, the American people, can stop it in the same way that we are stopping the Iran war through our voices.

  • Bring Michael David Copeland home from Iraq
My name is Angela Copeland. My husband, Michael David Copeland, passed away in Baghdad, Iraq, on Saturday, June 9, 2012, while he was working as an aircraft mechanic for a private military contractor at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. We do not have details surrounding his death; neither the company he worked for, DynCorp, nor the U.S. State Department has been forthcoming with information. Weeks have now passed since he died and his body is still not home. We've spoken with officials from the U.S. State Department. And we've spoken with Congress. But we still haven't seen results. Each agency wants to defer blame on to someone else as to why he hasn’t been brought back to the United States. Can anyone tell me why an American citizen, a decorated Marine and National Guardsman, is being treated like this and why they won’t just bring him home? Michael David was a much loved husband, son, brother, grandson, uncle, step-father, cousin, and friend to so many. He doesn't deserve this.
