The people of Iran are suffering from run away inflationdue to the embargo that the U.S. and Israel have been persuading countries throughout the world to adopt. This is no way to win the hearts of the Iranian people over. We are calling on national leaders to disarm the nuclear capabilities of Israel, India, Pakistan, Turkey, and Kazakhstan as a true path to peace in the Middle East.

Staying there is senseless. We are only enforcing the resolve of the Taliban and we should be working with them to create some kind of compromise on disallowing terrorist training camps.

For too long, our politicians have ignored the question of what is the role of war in a humane and democratic society. There is a distinct lack of a rational and moral consciousness among our political leaders regarding this question. I believe this is the time for such a national dialogue, while our nation, it seems, is being prepared for yet another war.

Due to Unesco admitting Palestine into its Organization, the U.S. has cut off funding. Our government is willing to look the other way to injustice in order to stay in good relationship with Isreal. Justice for all is the right thing to do.

Fast and Furious, President Obama and Attorney General Holder's operation to send guns secretly into Mexico, resulted in the death of American Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry as well as hundreds of Mexican nationals. It is time that President Obama and Attorney General Holder recognize the multi-national wave of death and destruction for which they are responsible. Mexican citizens, as well as Americans, died from bullets fired from guns that our government illegally authorized to be moved into Mexico. It's time that Obama and Holder accept their responsibility in this matter.

No WAR with Iran.

The decade of war in Afghanistan has cost the lives of thousands of Afghan civilians. Too many US troops have returned in coffins or with lost limbs or mental health. The best end to this disaster is a prompt one.

This petition is to influence our Representatives and Senators to pursue a peaceful resolution with Iran.The US intelligence establishment has not found Iran to be currently developing a nuclear weapon, or even making a decision to do so in the future.

The U.S. recently withdrew $60 million from UNESCO, a U.N. organization that provides vital support to thousands of needy people around the world. This was because UNESCO voted to allow Palestine as a member, and an old U.S. law requires our government to cut funding from any organization that officially recognizes Palestine. Regardless of whatever feelings we may have about the Israel-Palestine conflict, we cannot allow innocent people around the world to become the collateral damage of that conflict. Please join me in asking Congress and President Obama to overturn this archaic law, and restore funding to these vital and non-partisan programs.

Due to an unnecessary and antequated law enacted in 1990, the US Government CANNOT give funding to any organization that supports Palestine as a state. While that was a well intentioned law, over 100 countries and organizations now recognize them as a state. One of those organizations is UNESCO. UNESCO enacts programs to bring clean drinking water to nearly 1,000,000 people in Africa who are dying of thirst. It funds schools and colleges in third world countries. It was even planning to teach the largely illiterate Afghan police force how to read. Some of these programs benefit the U.S., all of them benefit the world. The answer is simple. Ask congress to overturn the law that says we cannot provide funding to any organization that supports Palestine statehood. That is a political question that is being answered with severe humanitarian consequences. The number of direct and indirect civilian casualties in Afghanistan resulting from U. S.-led military actions is estimated to be anywhere from 9,415 to 29,007. The latest is the murder of 16 civilians, among them 9 children, by a U. S. Army Staff Sgt. in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 11, a soldier who had already served 3 tours of duty in Iraq. Our massive deployment of over 109,000 soldiers in Afghanistan is a strategically flawed and misdirected effort which has bankrupted our country and killed and maimed our young soldiers under ill-defined "national security" sloganeering.

We, the young people of the United States, wish to show our opposition to the detestable actions of the central African despot named Joseph Kony, the leader of the Lord's Resistance Army. Kony has committed atrocious crimes against humanity in central Africa. Kony and his forces have stolen children from their homes and families, militarized them, and forced them to wage war against their own parents and kinsman. We are calling for support against the kidnapping and murder of children in central Africa on behalf of children everywhere. This issue is of paramount importance to the young voting age and soon-to-be-voting-age population of the Untied States, and we wish to show our opposition in hopes that the government of the United States will take pertinent action to ensure Joseph Kony is brought to justice through the proper international channels.
