Our Elections were hacked. And our three-branch government only works if the checks and balances work. A major check on executive misdeeds is this Intel committee. Congressman Nunes, by obfuscating and cancelling the public hearings we need, is in dereliction of duty as a legislative Check on the Executive Branch. And he needs to step down or do his job.

I was unable to attend the caucus in my neighborhood. Many individuals have told me that the caucus in their neighborhood was difficult to attend because of many reasons. The reasons included work commitments, the need to take care of a family member, parking limitations, and poor access for folks with disabilities. In Washington State less than 5% of the voting population attended and selected Bernie Sanders as Washington States Candidate for President. When a non binding primary was held later 34-percent of Washington state voters selected Hillary Clinton. This sent mixed signals to our delegates and they did not follow the true will of the people. The only way to get a true representation of the will of the people is to let them vote. We need to embrace all democrats in order to be a strong party.

Every day we are subjected to Trump's Twitter rants. As he taps away on his smart phone in the wee hours of the morning, certain that he can distract from the truly important issues that confront us, the media amplify his messages over and over again, thereby fulfilling his maniacal need to divert attention away from his corrupt, destructive agenda. What if for one entire week, the mainstream media (CNN, WSJ, NYT, WaPO, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, BBC, NPR) ignored his tweets? No coverage at all for seven full days. Instead, the media focuses on the substantial news coming out of DC, essentially sending the message to Trump that he cannot control the news cycle of the day. WAP has helped insulate the homes of about 7 million families with low-cost techniques that save them money. Eliminating both the LIHEAP and WAP programs in America will only increase the hardship and poverty for low-income children and seniors. Donald Trump just suspended a nuclear arms treaty with Russia. After costing nearly $11 billion dollars in damage because of the shutdown, we can't have Trump's tantrums also dictating our global policies. If Trump decides to launch a nuclear weapon - even if we’re not under attack - there’s nothing that can stop him. That’s because under the current law, once the President says “go," there’s just 4 minutes until launch. It’s a crazy dangerous system that was started in the Cold War to defend against an incoming attack, but is totally unnecessary today. Thankfully there’s something we can do about it. Right now, members of Congress, in the House and the Senate, have introduced legislation to prevent the U.S. president from launching a nuclear war without a declaration of war by Congress. While the President would still be able to defend from an attack against America, they could no longer launch the deadliest weapons ever invented just because they wanted to. Unfortunately, right now Congress is just continuing to act like Donald Trump is a normal president who can be trusted with normal powers. But we know that’s not true, and enough of us demand Congress take action, we can jolt them into action. Donald Trump has shocked the nation with his flagrant disregard for our national security. From stepping over the country’s top intelligence experts to appoint Bannon to the NSC, to receiving confidential security briefings while an army officer carried the “nuclear football” around in plain sight and earshot of paying members of his Key Largo club - his behavior is not rational or safe. No one who behaves this recklessly should have the ability to launch a war that would kill everyone on the planet. We need your help to pressure Congress to stop a Trump nuclear disaster. Devin Nunes should not be allowed to leak information to the president regarding an ongoing investigation into the president's ties with Russia.

The Chairman of this committee is clearly showing bias and partisanship. This investigation involves the current administration and their involvement in tampering with our presidential election. It is imperative that the facts be uncovered if we have a foreign government potentially involved in influencing our elections and one of the candidates is colluding with a foreign government. Everyone should be greatly alarmed. Nunes has jeopardized the integrity of this committee and he has potentially tainted the outcome. He needs to be removed from the committee immediately.

Devon Nunes has compromised an ongoing investigation by the Intelligence Committee; intentionally did not reveal his unverified information, implicating the Obama administration of wrongdoing. In fact, any incidental information was obtained legally via a Fisa warrant!

Trump has been carelessly Tweeting out all sorts of wild garbage for years with no thought to possible consequences. Now that he is President, the reputation, credibility and even the security of the country is being damaged.

We, the citizens and taxpayers of this nation, and therefore, owners of the people's White House, object to the provision of a West Wing office, security clearance, and government-issued communications device for the President's daughter, Ivanka Trump. In this scenario, there is no precedent, no guidelines, and therefore, no protocol for accountability or oversight. Further, a conflict of interest is clear as reportedly Ms. Trump continues to own and profit from her fashion and jewelry businesses, both of which also appear to benefit from her father's name, presumably even moreso now that her father is President of the United States. Finally, this scenario is different from other adult children advising past Presidents: not just there to offer insights to her father, it appears Ms. Trump will have an expansive portfolio, and without associated education or experience in government, public office, or public policy. It has already been of significant concern to the petitioners herein to see Ms. Trump sitting in on high-level Presidential meetings with foreign heads of state.
