Not enough people vote for a so-called "winner" of an election to have an actual "mandate." WHY not make voting mandatory? There's no downside to doing so -- only an UP side.

TWICE (in my lifetime) the winner of the POPULAR VOTE *lost* the election. This ought not be. In the last election the ELECTORAL COLLEGE FAILED TO ACT PROPERLY. The college is not there to merely "rubber stamp" someone's victory -- not if there are signs and indications that someone is not "fit" to serve.

President Trump has attacked Syria without Congressional authorization, violating the U.S. Constitution. Congress must assert its war powers, invoking the Constitution and the War Powers Resolution. Congress must insist that no further attacks take place without Congressional authorization and that U.S. forces be withdrawn from unauthorized conflict. Congress must invoke the War Powers Resolution to debate and vote on a privileged resolution for the withdrawal of U.S. forces if President Trump refuses to remove U.S. forces from the conflict. Urge your Senators and Representative to invoke the War Powers Resolution to compel withdrawal of U.S. forces from the conflict by signing our petition.

Each morning I wake up at 4 am to the latest corporate controlled headline$ on Scamalot, as #BIGNEW$ attempts to keep profiting off the demise of humanity and dignity by focusing on rating$ over truth. These digihack$ were praised in media... from Forbes to Businessweek.... lauded for winning the election. They were praised in Texas newspapers for creating jobs, when in fact they were being paid handily to corrupt American minds with a Russian-military style manipulation of truth and disinformation campaign. In multiple billionaire-owned media reports, "Project Alamo" digi-groupie$ specifically explained the strategy: both named and unnamed sources said they "microtargeted" ethnic Americans, women and millennial voters with "dark" Facebook "spammy" ads that only the microtargeted users could see. In these same reports, Facebook indicated it won't release these ad$. One is described as a "South Park"-style cartoon microtargeted to African American Facebook users in Florida of Hillary Rodham Clinton, mi$branding her as a racist on a quote from 20 years ago (just a year after the #GOPModerne cottage-indu$try of ba$hing Senator/Secretary of State Clinton was born by a Nixon speechwriter in the New York Times). If ad$ such as those created by the marketeer$ of "Project Alamo" are merely garden variety political mudslinging, then why not release them? Let's force these clandestine operators out of their bunker$ and into the interrogation light, because it's time for citizens to see how their minds were twisted away from the truth by a gaslighting regime that only knows one racket: money. Cyber Mind Crimes are War Crimes, we've just never experienced Big Data enabling corruption of this magnitude. As a black female, I no longer want to stand by and say nothing; it is up to us at the grassroots level to speak up and condemn Senator Cotton's unfortunate and outrageous name-calling of another woman, especially a black woman who has served our country proudly, as has Ambassador Susan Rice. Last week, Congresswoman Maxine Waters was disparaged by Bill O'Reilly; this week, Ambassador Susan Rice was vilified by Tom Cotton. Instead of bragging about this, Senator Cotton should refrain from this behavior in the future and apologize to Ambassador Rice. Now.

There has been a 2803% increase in the number of opioid related bookings in Palm Beach County alone since 2011. The numbers are probably even more significant in Broward and Miami Dade & Pinellas Counties.

We seem to be losing our democracy and since the Supreme Court is the last resort to defend our rights, confirming a nominee should require buy in from both parties to keep the court not becoming even more partisan. This time the Republicans are in control but that will not always be true.

We are calling on Senator Dean Heller to oppose changing the Senate's rules to rush through a lifetime appointment, especially while the Trump administration is under criminal investigation. On Friday, the full Senate will likely vote on Trump's right-wing Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch and fortunately, at least 41 Democrats are planning to stand strong and filibuster to stop his confirmation. But now that Democrats have effectively blocked the 60 vote threshold for Gorsuch's nomination, Republicans are threatening to change the rules by invoking the "nuclear option" to rush through Gorsuch's confirmation. Only ONE Republican needs to oppose the "nuclear option" to shut down this reckless power grab. Let's send a strong message to Senator Heller we are watching he needs to oppose Nuclear Option to protect Nevada and our country. Gorsuch stands with corporations not individual rights.

The Supreme Court Justice should require a minimum of 60 votes in the Senate. Stop the Republicans from going nuclear. Trump should not be allowed to choose a Justice while under investigation. We do not want a Justice that sides with the Corporations while hurting the common people. They need to stop changing the rules. They are there to protect us.
