Yesterday, FBI Director James Comey confirmed that the president of the United States and his associates are the subject of an active criminal investigation regarding "possible connections between President Trump’s campaign and Russia’s efforts to sabotage" November's election—to benefit Trump. These allegations are remarkably serious. So serious that earlier today Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer stood on the floor of the U.S. Senate to call for a delay on confirmation of Trump's Supreme Court nominee until this issue has been fully investigated. How can Congress, in good conscience, agree to further Trump's agenda amid such serious allegations regarding possible illegal collusion with Russia? The answer is simple: It can't. There's no other way to characterize this breaking news: The legitimacy of Trump's presidency and his entire administration is in question. And with so much yet unknown, Congress cannot consider Trump's agenda, especially the lifetime appointment of Neil Gorsuch. That's why it's imperative that Congress halt every piece of the Trump agenda—and that the Senate heed Sen. Schumer's call to stop Supreme Court confirmation hearings—until a full and independent investigation has been conducted. Deliver a simple three-word message to Congress: Shut it down.

Meals on Wheels is under the knife. The program expects to be "significantly and negatively impacted" if Donald Trump's budget is enacted and it loses funding from the federal government. Trump's cruel and inhumane budget will be moving through Congress in the coming weeks and months. Meals on Wheels—which provides nutritious meals and a caring presence for millions of American seniors—needs to be protected.

As a US Citizen, I am sick of our taxes paying for this family's lavish lifestyle, yet Trump wants to cut budgets to "Meals on Wheels", after school programs, school lunch programs, Medicaid, help for the mentally ill, etc. Instead of our taxes paying for "Trump" expenses, let them go to what is important, and if he insists on traveling so much to his "winter White House", let this so-called billionaire pay for it himself. Plus any trips his sons' make on behalf of the Trump Organization should be paid for by their company. Their secret service expenses are out of control. It needs to stop.

I am outraged that we are cutting vital and lifesaving services for our citizens while subsidizing Trump's lavish lifestyle. We are already paying for TWO residences, at an extra 150,000$ a day in NYC. In addition, our money is going directly into Trump's pocket for housing the staff and security that he takes with him, because he has not properly divested, which is unethical in the extreme, if not illegal.

The taxpayer is essentially funding discrimination and violating the separation of church & State. Religious institutions pay no taxes and are using much of the tax money for political gain and personal advancement of their own church Hierarchy. The monies are diverted from higher priority needs and it appears with little or no accounting of expenditures.

While on the campaign trail, Donald Trump stated in a CBS 60 Minutes interview that "There's just so much to be done, I don't think we'll be very big on vacations." Trump and his Republican cronies were outspoken critics of Barack Obama’s vacation time and publicly criticized him for it. Now, barely 4 weeks in, the 45th President has taken a total of 25 hours worth of vacation, traveling to Florida each time on the tax payers dime. Where is the accountability? Holding the highest office in the world is a job that requires significant time getting up to speed- which means that a newly elected official should be spending more time doing his JOB! The bill’s provisions would allow insurance companies to control the medical care of injured workers by mandating a specific drug formulary that severely limits the prescribing of necessary medications, preventing workers from receiving the treatment they need to get better. House Bill 18, masquerading as an attempt to reduce opiate usage, would ultimately allow insurance companies to profit at the expense of the injured worker’s pain, suffering and decreased quality of life.
