I think Nevadans don't feel that our voices are being heard. We want this opportunity to communicate our current concerns with our senator.

The week of February 18-26 is the first congressional recess of the 115th Congress, and for many of us, the first opportunity since Trump took office to speak directly with our members of Congress--without having to worry about going to voicemail. This is the perfect time to ask the questions that we, as constituents, deserve answers to and to demonstrate that tolerance of Trump's attacks on our health care, our communities, and our democracy are unacceptable and politically toxic. Already, we have seen a tremendous response at town halls--including over a thousand attendees at Rep. Chaffetz's event in Utah--but now members of Congress are running scared. Many members aren't planning to hold public events to hear from their constituents during the upcoming recess. It's our elected officials jobs to hear from and represent us, their constituents. Will you call on your elected officials to represent their constituents and hold a town hall or other public event, and pledge to attend to make your voice heard?

I am starting this petition so the people of West Virginia can make their opinions and concerns known to Senator Capito.

Congress will be in recess the week of 2/19 and we feel it's important to learn what Rep. Faso has learned and for him to hear the concerns of his constituents.

Representative Graves has not held a town hall in the history of the 14th Congressional District which is now 5 years old. The citizens of the 12 counties he represents deserve the chance to voice their concerns and know that he heard them.

Senator John McCain has served his country throughout his life and deserves to be treated with respect, regardless of whether we agree with particular viewpoints. The Senate has rules against impugning a Senator; they should demand the same conduct from the President.

Champaign City Council elections are on April 4. In the same election, Champaign County voters will vote in referenda to decide whether to save our Champaign County Nursing Home. Champaign Republicans represent a key swing bloc in the Nursing Home referenda. They also represent a key political bloc enabling the policies of President Trump and Governor Rauner. President Trump's immigration executive order directly threatens faculty and students at the University of Illinois. Governor Rauner's refusal to pay bills has put our Champaign County Nursing Home in danger. Urge Members of the Champaign City Council to speak up for faculty and students at the University of Illinois and to speak up for our Champaign County Nursing Home by signing our petition.

Congressman Loudermilk has not faced his constituents since the Election. He works for us and needs to hear from us!

Mr. Trump, you inflate statistics on undocumented immigration, crime and unemployment to paint a distorted picture of our domestic safety. You obfuscate on the documented effects of trade policy or the scientific consensus surrounding climate change. You exaggerate the size of your inauguration crowds, the size of your victory over Hillary Clinton and you diminish the role of Russia in the 2016 presidential election. And, you continue to insist there is voter fraud in the millions. Your world of lies and "alternative facts" affects each one of us and further entrenches the division of our citizens. It is up to each one of us – citizens, journalists and Congress - to call you out. It is time for you to begin speaking the truth.

I request this because I want to trust a president who is honorable and trustworthy. The American people demand this because they expect the president to uphold the laws and obligations of the Constitution of the United States of America. The world expects this because they need a leader of the free world whom they can follow.

We want to voice our concerns and have our representative act on our behalf. Our Muslim community has supported him all these years and it's time he represent us.
