The American people should receive a true democracy. The Utah Republican Convention is this weekend, and the GOP will be voting on a resolution by Lowell Nelson, former vice chairman of the state Republican Party, that “encourages public officials at all levels of government to nullify any federal order, act, opinion, or regulation” which they personally believe is unconstitutional. Nelson says he expects his resolution to easily win approval among the GOP convention delegates, but we’re calling on you to let him and the rest of the Republican party know that this is not the way our leaders should behave.

The U.S. is a nation of laws, where all should be equal under the law. We, the undersigned, are concerned that Hillary Clinton will be not be fully investigated or prosecuted by the FBI due to her wealth, position and political power. The decision to implement the laws of our nation re Mrs. Clinton's private email server is dependent on the courage of Dir. of the FBI, James Comey. We ask Dir. Comey to treat Mrs. Clinton as he would any other citizen of the US. Do not hold her above the law in this or any other matter. Thank you.

We're calling on candidates to take the "No Delegate Bribes" pledge -- to refrain from offering delegates anything of value in an attempt to swing their votes, and urge independent groups that support them to do the same. Candidates also must support changing convention rules to expressly forbid this sort of delegate buying. Anything less than that undermines public trust in our democracy, and reinforces voters' cynicism about our political process.
