Every single superdelegate has stood for an election in the Democratic Party and won. They are members of Congress and party leaders who represent vested party interests. You do not ask in the middle of an election to suddenly drop a practice because your candidate isn't winning. The issue of superdelegates should be addressed at the proper time--after an election. And definitely not because the election is not going your way.

Voter turnout in the United States is staggeringly low. In the 2012 Presidential Election there was a voter turnout of 57.5%. That means more than 40% of eligible voters did or could not vote. Any US citizen who wants to vote should be able to, as simple as that.

Unfair values

I’d like to target John McCain, who is running for Senator in Arizona, to reject contributions from fossil fuel companies. It is because of companies, like those that deal with fossil fuels, buying representatives votes that the voice of democracy has basically become mute to the real causes that matter to the people.

It will not matter who becomes President if the state government is left in the hands of the Republican Party. Yet the Florida Democratic Party spends nearly all of its time and resources promoting the federal elections while it fails to contest the state legislature races.

I am starting this petition because once again an entire group of Americans are having their votes blocked! This is totally unfair and I am sure it was planned that way.

This petition is about returning to a truly "representative" government, and doing it NOW! Establishment power got into the "10%" by stacking the deck against the populace of America and continues to rig the entire system towards an ever-growing income, influence and standard of living inequality. This needs to stop before a 2nd American Revolution is needed.

If Obama supports Bernie, it will give him the edge over his 1%er, banker-supported opponent. Although Bernie has the people behind him, she supposedly has the nomination locked up with her party hoohaw.

I am tired of being forced to vote for the lesser of 2 evils by the political establishment. I am tired of seeing political parties like the Democrats and Republicans hijack the government for their own purposes, and leaving we, the people, out in the cold. If the Democratic National committee does not stop hijacking the political process to put their preferred candidate, Hillary Clinton, as the democratic nominee, then come the national 2016 election, we will not vote, at all. We will not take part.in a broken process, robbed of true American liberty, and we will not have any hand in the voter process. #blockthevote

When it comes to calling for a Constitutional Convention or otherwise changing the Constitution to "reverse Citizens United", our state officials make up excuses about a convention being too risky, having no control over national politics, or passing a resolution calling for a change in the Constitution doesn't actually do anything unless other states join in (of course, the lawmakers in other states say the same - making it a vicious circle of inaction). This gets around that by instructing them to alter Minnesota's Constitution. Other cities and states have done this, so there's no excuse not to do it unless the politicians want to keep the existing state of fascism via corporate plutocracy and campaign bribery in place. Why sign this? Are we in a democracy if money controls who we vote for and elect? Is the government representing the people if those running it are more concerned about campaign finance than their constituents?
