Fusion Centers are routinely violating basic privacy and free speech rights of Americans: The Oklahoma Fusion Center partnered with the Keystone XL pipeline company TransCanada to profile anti-pipeline activists as terror threats. These peaceful students, ranch owners, and indigenous people who engaged in non-violent protest to defend their homes are now listed in government databases as terror threats! In Boston, and around the country, Fusion Centers monitored the Occupy movement, keeping tabs on dangerous activities like “a food drive and ‘yoga, faith & spirituality’ classes.” The Washington state Fusion Center partnered with the Army to infiltrate a local peace group and harass members when they tried to attend protests, and distributed “domestic terrorist” dossiers about some of the activists. In Virginia, a Fusion Center Terror Threat Assessment warns that the state has Universities, which are “recognized as a radicalization node for almost every type of extremist group,” it further warns of a Girl Scout Troop conducting a voter registration drive, as well as the more classic “extremists” like Greenpeace and local environmental groups. A Missouri Fusion Center had to retract its Threat report after warning local police to beware of cars bearing Ron Paul for President bumper stickers. Even a bi-partisan Senate investigation found that Fusion Centers produce “shoddy” intelligence and endanger civil liberties and privacy. The investigation also found that no one knows how much money we’ve poured into them. Bottomline: it’s time to shut Fusion Centers down.

Given the current climate in congress and recent rulings by the supreme court - it has become apparent that term limits are required in order to alleviate corruption in all branches of government. The executive branch has term limits for the president - it would then only make sense that the legislative and judicial branches should, too. Then, and only then, would real people, who work real jobs, have a real say in how this country moves forward. Otherwise, we will continue to hand it over to corporate interests. The choice is yours.

I'm pissed as hell at Congress for not governing and for Boehner's audacity for saying he'll sue Obama.

This would help restore our democracy which has been falling apart due to the influence of the very rich and corporations! It would also free up time for candidates to do the job they were elected to do!

It is time to restore our representative democracy. Today 87% of Americans are deeply troubled by the corrupting influence of money in politics. Our elected officials no longer represent the people who vote for them, they represent their donors. We need to get money out of politics, and the biggest step is overturning the 'Citizens United' supreme court case and banning corporations from contributing to elections. To do that, we need our state legislature to call for a constitutional convention. Vermont and California have already called for a Constitutional Convention. Connecticut should join them. Tell your elected officials you want a constitutional convention to overturn Citizens United.

The Republican Congress has vowed to do nothing every since President Obama was elected. Their tactics have shut down the government, delayed the return of a strong economy, and hurt the American people. We need the Do Nothing Congress to break their conspiracy of doing nothing to help the President help Americans, and we need them to get back to work for the sake of America. Right now, the Republican Congress is acting as a Ponzi scheme --getting our hard earned money but not producing a single plan, bill, or regulation to help Americans.
