Senator Reid has neglected the State of Nevada's interests and led an ineffective, do-nothing Senate. His statements and votes are contrary to the people of Nevada's wishes and he must be removed from office before doing more harm as one of our elected Senators.

New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez has dubbed herself the most transparent governor in state history. Yet newly released secret recordings reveal her advisers joking about the New Mexico Commission on the Status of Women, a constitutionally-mandated advisory council which saw its funding gutted by Martinez. In the recordings, current New Mexico Human Services Department spokesman Matt Kennicott jokes another male adviser of Martinez direct the commission so he may "study more women." An expose by Mother Jones points to Martinez and her inner circle's attitude toward women, shows her laughing while discussing ways to cut teacher salaries, and even calling an elder legislator a "retard." These are not values any elected official should have.

NJ Citizen Action is launching this petition to demand that Governor Christie stop wasting taxpayer dollars to promote his political ambitions. Some of Gov Christie's most egregious tax-wasting hits include: 1. Spending over $1 million in legal fees, paid for by us, the New Jersey taxpayers, on an internal "investigation" exonerating him of all wrong doing in the Bridgegate scandal. 2. Mis-using 25 million in taxpayer dollars to fund the "Stronger than the Storm " ad campaign, featuring Gov Christie and his family, during an election year, when a bid from another firm which would not have featured Christie or his family, came in several million dollars cheaper. 3. Needlessly wasting 12 million in taxpayer dollars to fund a Special Senate Election, scheduled less than three weeks before the regularly scheduled November election, guaranteeing Governor Christie top billing on the November ballot.

It is egregious that our tax dollars support the killing of wildlife by the federal agency Wildlife Services. In 2012 they killed over 306,000 redwinged blackbirds, 400 river otters, 12,500 black tailed prairie dogs and much more. It is paramount that we stop slaughtering wildlife. This is the new century and we have new and better ways to sustain our ecosystems than by promoting killing.

The sooner the better for Congressional Term Limits. This would help stem campaign finance, bought-off representatives are not working for all of us, just their "sponsors" ( i.e. corporations, lobbyists, etc.).

We've barely recovered from McCutcheon vs. FEC. We're still fighting Citizens United. And now we have a new enemy: President Obama just signed a ban on the public funding of presidential conventions. If you were looking for a way to increase the dependency of crooked politicians on mega-rich donors, you just got your wish. Obama's law just dismantled what was left of an alternative public financing model set up after Watergate specifically to combat the rich drowning out the poor, allowing taxpayers to chip in a bit each year to balance corporate spending. If we let this go without a fight, we might as well give up the battle to reclaim our democracy now. Please, join us in calling on Congress to repeal this order, and stop the wholesale dismantling of campaign finance reform in the US!

We're calling on Hillary Clinton, presumed frontrunner for the Democratic nomination, to pledge she will only appoint Supreme Court Justices who will reverse this abomination of a decision. If Citizens United was beginning, then McCutcheon is only the next step on the road to abolishing our campaign finance laws. And there's little doubt that many of the country’s most powerful donors want nothing less. We can't let it get that far. Clinton -- like all the 2016 Presidential candidates -- must know that this is an issue that matters to the American people. And just as importantly, she must understand that if victorious, she will bear an enormous responsibility in repairing our elections system. Now is the time to make that clear. Sign on and urge Hillary Clinton to pledge to only appoint Supreme Court Justices that will repair our elections and reverse this awful decision.
