The Internet enriches the lives of my family by providing entertainment, knowledge and the world within a few clicks of a mouse button. Preventing the growth of our society so a few conglomerates can line their pockets is wrong. We need an open, fair and balanced Internet environment. Right now the Internet is a place of balanced access where all Internet services are treated equally. Now Comcast, Verizon and ATT want to change the rules and they've got the newest FCC appointee, Tom Wheeler, about to allow them to relegate websites they don't like to a "slow lane." That would include every non-profit organization, local website and small business site. It will almost certainly prevent any start-up from transforming into a Netflix, Twitter, Facebook or even Google. That doesn't sound smart for consumers or for the US.

Republicans backed the racist Nevada rancher. Republicans have told lie after lie about what would happen if gays marry, women are paid equally, minimum wage workers get a raise, and it goes on and on... But Democrats, who should be playing ads that show Republicans praising the racist rancher, talking down pay equity & being insensitive about raising the minimum wage (among other things) DO NOTHING. DEMOCRATS NEED TO REMIND US OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS UNDER OUR PRESIDENT AND SHOULD CONSTANTLY REMIND US OF REPUBLICAN HYPERBOLE AND LIES. Let Democrats know that you will NEVER donate to their campaigns if they are going to fight with one hand tied behind their backs!

Their are memebers in congress who have been bought to do the will of corporations or special interest groups like big oiland coal. But if there are limits to their time maybe good can be done by them before they sell their souls over a longer period of time.

Plutocrats have stolen our democracy and the We the People want it back. As your employers, we command politicians to give our democracy back to us. The technology exists to give the public veto power over all legislation.

I'm simply sickened and disturbed about the unnecessary use of deadly force by individual police officers against innocent civilians nationwide. Often these attacks are a product of racial bias, anger issues, or ineffective training. This is one of the most important civil rights issues of our generation.

Many of our parents and grandparents served their country proudly for their entire tour, at-the-ready should conflict arise. Most of them were drafted. Yet they are denied veterans benefits based on their dates of service. You can help to change the rules governing eligibility for veterans benefits to cover all veterans who served for more than 180 days. Many veterans served between Feb. 1, 1955 and Aug. 4, 1964. They are considered "peacetime" veterans and are, therefore, not eligible for the same benefits as a vet who served only ONE day, but during wartime. There is no equity in denial of benefits to those who served a full tour during the Cold War ("peacetime") and affording full veterans benefits to those who served just one day during wartime, even if they never saw combat or were never deployed to a combat arena. All veterans who served, at the ready, should be afforded equal benefits, regardless of their dates of service. It is by the sheer manpower of "peacetime" vets that we HAD peace. Please help us by sponsoring a bill to change the federal rules governing eligibility for Veterans Benefits.

When the voices of low-wage workers and community leaders are leading the conversation, we see real progress on fair pay. We must ensure that the fight for a national minimum wage increase is no longer a one-sided debate, and call on news outlets to to feature stories from the people who matter most in fighting economic inequality -- the working poor.

We've seen the level to which corporations will sink to rig elections and skew issues like climate change and health care. Campaign finance reform is where we'll see real change.

I know what it's like to work your way through college. Having access to student loans and grant programs helped me to become the first in my family to graduate from a 4-year college. I want to make sure the next generation of students have the same access and affordability I had when I went to college. Join me in supporting a budget that invests in education and makes sure EVERY American has access to quality and affordable education!

The City is using code enforcement, and their sanctioned religious group "Cops and Clergy" and law enforcement to trample the people's 1st Amendment rights here in Lake Elsinore, California. They are abusive, discriminative, and prejudiced. They have taken our liberties, kicked us out of the park because we are low income or Christian. There is no longer representation for the people, they have become the criminals.

We need change. Our government representatives are stale in their ideas and are not listening to the people and making changes to help the United States.
