Renew Term limit call for House and SenateThis petition is just one answer to gridlock in Washington If 8 years is good enough for the President it is good enough for the House and Senate. It will save taxpayers millions of dollars on retirement, hospital insurance.etc we will cover them only while they are in office The time has come where no one need to serve in Washington 20,30 plus years. This will keep all lobbyists from getting a stronghold on people we elect to serve the citizens of America. Also we need a law that says no matter your party if the majority of Americans over 50% want something done then get it done These people in Congress are in their own world and don't really care what the rest of us think or want. Send the whole Congress home now and let's start over .This also cut down on Corporate dollars buying races if they have to buy races every eight years at he costs of $millions of dollars they will soon dry up.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dorothy Holmes

All U.S. Congress Office Terms to have LimitsIn the last 4 years, I have observed our congress to be the most NON-COHESIVE congress in decades! Change is what we want? Then it's change we will get! Limit Congressional Office terms on Capitol Hill for U.S. Congressmen/Congresswomen and U.S. Senators to TWO indeterminate periods. Allow for the congress to progress like the American People!1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Matt Shaffer

Congressional Reform 2013126,838,980 votes were cast in the last presidential election. These American citizens are waiting for our congressional representatives to conduct themselves like adults and take care of our business. The government belongs to all of the people not just a select few. Let your voice be heard.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Joseph Randle El

Clean Campaign FundingRepeating the same election process without changing how they are funded means the same old results with new names. Lets change the way, not the limit, campaigns are funded. The S.Court ruled in 1976 limits on campaign funding is anti-free speech. But the states can required all campaign funding on every level including Federal to be directed to a state account for that election contest, and then equally divided among all running candiates. No limits, equal funding, blind sources, no payback strings attached funding.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by D. Spangle

CONGRESS: We're not paying you until you start doing your job!!!I'd like to find out what would happen if we, the people, the 99% of the United States, decided NOT to pay FEDERAL INCOME TAX this year? Put it in an escrow account until the CONGRESS starts to do the work it was elected to do. After all, we wouldn't pay the lawn men to talk about mowing the lawn and then cut down the vegetable garden, would we?5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Andrew Poleszak

For Takoma Park Residents: Lower the Voting Age in Takoma Park to 16As a teenager, it's hard to connect to national politics when all that seems to come out of Washington D.C. is bad news. At the local level, it's an entirely different story. Teens turn to local government for a high quality of education, insurance of safety, job opportunities, and much more. At age 16, a teenager is old enough to work to support his/her own family and afford his/her own future. At age 16, one gains driving privileges. At age 16, one can be tried for certain crimes and pay certain taxes. At age 16, one should be allowed to vote in local elections. It's time to take a step towards youth enfranchisement and allow 16 and 17 year olds to vote in Takoma Park, Maryland in local elections. Please contact Ben Feshbach ([email protected]) or Tim Male, the sponsor of this initiative on the Takoma Park City Council ([email protected]) for more information. Notice: please only sign this petition if you are a Takoma Park resident.95 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ben Feshbach

President Obama: Don't Appoint VillaraigosaAfter Mayor Villaraigosa joined "Fix the Debt," I started a petition asking him to leave the group because of their efforts to gut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. I received over 22,000 signatures (14,000 on SignOn and the rest through the PCCC). Now the media is discussing Mayor Villaraigosa for a possible appointment in the Obama administration. Mayor Villaraigosa ignored us. He didn't care what we had to say. He was willing to ignore his constituents to pander to corporate interestes. His disregard for engaged citizens and all working and middle class families make him an unacceptable choice for a position in President Obama's cabinet. Villaraigosa has ignored the people who helped to get him elected and has presided over budget cuts and service reductions that disproportionately effect the working poor: The Metropolitan Transportation Authority cut nearly 1 million hours of service (citing efficiency) at the expense of working class residents who overwhelming rely on public transportation. African American transit activists fault Villaraigosa for not fighting for a Leimert Park stop, the heart of black culture in Los Angeles, on the Crenshaw Rail line. These are just a few examples of how Villaraigosa has balanced the budget on the backs of hard working Angelenos, and there are many more. We are asking President Obama to not appoint Villaraigosa to a position in his administration.2,601 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Angela Garcia Combs

Incentivize Congressional SalariesThe US Congress is employed by the citizens of America to represent their legislative interests. Perhaps they might better serve the people; if their salaries reflected the average income of the citizens they represent. When they do a better job; average income would increase; and, they would be rewarded. When they did not do so well; they would not be paid so well. Also, this approach would make them better citizen advocates, as such would be in their own financial interest.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by A.J. Allen-Bess III
